Affordable, quality, space saver
The bed arrived on time, in one long thin box. It could have been carried alone but was light with help. Easy to follow assembly directions. Everything you need to put it together was included, along with a few spare pieces just in case you misplace one. My 12 year old and I were able to assemble it in under 2hrs, taking our time. The bed is light weight, very sturdy, doesn't wobble or squeak. Perfect for our youngest (5years). It frees up lots of floor space and creates a little "fort" area that she loves. The color is just a neutral gray, not silver. My only dislikes are that the bed rails could be a bit taller and I wish the ladder could be placed at either end. The price was unbeatable at $80 +10% off coupon.

Great junior loft bed for a great price
This bed is pretty awesome for the price. I originally wanted a wooden junior loft bed with drawers/storage underneath, but just couldn't bring myself to pay for one of those when this one was so much cheaper.First off, my four-year-old loves it. He loves being "tall like mommy and daddy" when he's in his bed, and he spends a ton of time in his "clubhouse" underneath. We've put a bean bag, a clip-on lamp and a toybox under there, and it's where he and my husband sit to read a book before bed every night. He can't quite stand up underneath it, but there's still plenty of room for him to play. My husband and I can both fit under there pretty comfortably, too.The bed itself is good quality. I thought the silver might look cheap, but it actually looks really nice and doesn't clash with the wooden furniture in his room. It seems sturdy enough and we haven't had any issues with squeaking or any of the pieces loosening. The rungs of the ladder do seem a bit uncomfortable to me when I'm changing the sheets, but my son hasn't had any complaints and doesn't even seem to notice. The bed is recommended for ages six and up, but as long as your kid can safely climb a ladder and won't flop himself over the rails and out of bed at night, there's really no reason it can't be used by younger children. It wasn't too difficult to put together (took about an hour), although my husband did mention that some of the steps in the instructions are in the wrong order. He noticed it right away and worked around it, so we didn't have any issues with having to force pieces together like some other reviewers. We bought a six-inch mattress to go with it from Amazon and it fit perfectly. Zinus Sleep Master 6 Inch Spring Mattress, Twin I originally wanted a bit thicker of a mattress, but the six-inch is recommended by the manufacturer and it ensures that there's still plenty of safety railing available to keep him from falling out.I do have a couple of minor complaints that weren't even worth removing a star for. First of all, there's a huge warning sticker stuck to the headboard, which is pretty ugly. Considering how hard the tiny letter stickers (the ones that label all the pieces for assembly) were to get off, though, I haven't even attempted to remove it. Some Goo Gone would probably work if you really hate it and have a ton of patience. Secondly, due to the safety railings on the bed, it's almost impossible to get it made up neatly - there are always bits of sheet and comforter sticking up everywhere. (That's not so much a failure of this bed so much as loft beds in general, though, so no big deal.) My son cares about neither of these things; they're purely cosmetic issues for me.Overall, we're super happy with this bed, especially for the price, and we love the extra space it gives him underneath. While I was originally a bit skeptical about buying a metal bed over a wooden one, it ended up being the perfect purchase (minus that pesky sticker!). Five stars!

Good item for a decent price
Pros: Shorter than a traditional loft bed, making it good for younger kids and basement roomsGood price. Easy to understand instructions, simple to put together. Sturdy build.CONS: 200# weight limit (amazon lists it at 600lbs currently, but that is incorrect)Thin ladder rungs that hurt your feet (we covered them with 1/2" pipe insulation similar to pool noodles)Final piece, the barrier on the ladder side, the two holes to bolt it to the cross beam were slightly off, making it a little harder to put together. All in all, we are happy with it. As long as it is not taken apart and re-put up multiple times it SHOULD last for at least 5 years. If bolts become wiggley or loose, a little JB Weld fixes the problem. Be aware the clearance from the floor to the bottom of the bunk is only 36" (3 feet)Many of the 1 star reviews stated the holes were in completely wrong spots. A couple tips for assembly: LEAVE WIGGLE ROOM on all the bolts. Lay out your pieces, attach in the order in instruction book, and DO NOT tighten to flush, just finger tighten leaving about a quarter inch sticking out. The four legs MUST be in the proper spot (labeled a, b, c, and d in the instructions) or they will not line up. The ladder can ONLY go in one place, so if you put the D leg where the B leg goes, it will not line up! Arrange the room around the bed. Some bunks you can move the ladder to be on the left OR the right, but not with this item. That is the main reason for 4 stars.Remember, you get what you pay for. This is a good space saving budget option, but if you are moving and have to disassemble the bed, it will NOT LAST AS LONG!It does have a 1 year mnfctr warrenty, but good luck getting a hold of them for anything other than option 1 2 or 3 on their system. It will route you to a voice mail and you will not receive a call back. If you are missing a part or have a broken part from shipping, you will be told it is on back order, and wont get the part for about 2-3 weeks. The hardware was exactly the proper numbers, with only 1 extra screw (on purpose).

Nice. Bigger than I thought. Buy a better hexagon tool.
The only problem, so far, is the assembly. The box was big and heavy. The box was seriously sealed up. I had horrible time trying to get into it. Now Someone like my mother, if she were to buy this, she would have never gotten it up the stairs, she would have never gotten into the box.The instructions are clear enough, it's not that hard.My biggest REAL problem is the cheap tool they give you. Its soft metal bends into a circle and im not able to tighten the screws....luckily I own a much better made tool. If I didn't own my own , I would have been in real trouble. the tool kept slipping every tightening. I thought I was stripping the screw. When I changed the tool I was perfect. The bed took long time to put together but it's nice.My 5 year old loves it. It's not too tall where it scares the kid. It's just right. There is enough room under to put a low dresser or play area. I like it , my kid likes it. It's nice.Just wish it was about 70$cheaper. IKEA has them about 100$as far as I know there the same bed frame.
