Incredible construction. I have a heavy front door but finally feel this will save my house if the water makes it to my front door. After seeing on TV last summer commercial companies in Florida were now investing in to protect their buildings knew it was time. Incredible construction and I believe this will protect me in Florida if needed.

I bought my Dam Easy about 2 years ago from Amazon. I used it once successfully during a hurricane we had (it worked BEAUTIFULLY!). We ran into a minor glitch recently, so I reached out to customer support. Everyone was so helpful and responsive. Thank you to Chris who called me to talk me through the issue. When I was still having trouble, he emphasized that this is a product for LIFE and was able to get me a replacement at no charge. Thank you to Gizelle for coordinating the replacement - we shared quite a few emails and she was ALWAYS so responsive and kind! I am truly grateful to have a barrier that will keep my home safe from all the hurricanes we get, and I am more thankful that this product is backed with incredible customer support. It's one thing to have a product that works, but if you don't have a team that is responsive and there to help the customer, then you'd be SOL if something happens. My money was very well spent, and now Dam Easy has a customer for life. If/when our family moves to a house with more doors, there is no doubt I will be purchasing more. It's also really comforting to know that there is a location in Florida to take care of any repair needs. Thank you Gizelle, Chris, and Dam Easy!!

I just used these for my front and back doors in Hurricane Debby. Luckily we didn’t get storm surge up to my doors, so it was kind of a practice session. The dams are really well designed and the instruction book is excellent. They also come with some putty conveniently packaged in waxed paper in the right amount to use. The one problem I ran into was my front door. The dam fit between the door and the screen, which was great. HOWEVER, when the wind drove the rain through the screen door, all the water got trapped between the dam and the door. I ended up using towels to soak up the leaking under the door into my house…next time I am going to figure out some way to attach some kind of slanted thing to direct the wind-driven rain back out of the doorway. So, if you don’t have a porch or overhang which would block wind-driven rain (and it was coming in on 60+ mph gusts straight into the door), make sure to create something to deal with that. The seal was great — that’s why the water came in under the door, because it couldn’t get past the dam. These are so much better than sandbags!

We bought this damn flood gate prior to Helene flooding our house . It didn’t keep out the salt water which rose above the height of the gate . After the damage was done . We took the gate down but the ratchet would not work , it is very disappointing that the $ 900.00 damn gate did not keep the water out and the damn gate doesn’t work anymore .

Very good product; after several storms and floods, we can affirm that this product fully meets its functions. It’s a high investment, but it’s worth it. Easy to use. Easy to store. An excellent investment that pays for itself after a couple of floods.

This product doesn't work. I ended up with 2 feet of water that came through the same doorway this product was suppose to protect

Good idea….hope I never have to use it!
