Excellent for straining yogurt
I got these to replace my old flour-sack towels, which were 20 years old and started getting holes in them. They are nice and big. I use them for one purpose only: I put 2 of them together to strain yogurt, which I have been making myself for many years. I strain it until the whey & yogurt are about equal. The yogurt is now like Greek yogurt. The towels have a nice stitched border and are the perfect weave for my purpose. Tight, but not too tight. They wash well and didn't shrink much. They are a generous size, I can gather the edges over my 2 gallons of yogurt and twist hang it, no problem. I know they are great for other purposes, like glassware, because they have no lint. But I just keep these for yogurt. Now I have 4. They will probably last 40 years, since the last 2 lasted 20. I use and wash 2 of them about every 2 weeks. Let's see, 12-1/2 cents a year per towel. A good deal.

Best replacement for my vintage flour sack towels
I've been spoiled over the years using my grandmother's vintage flour sack towels, but as they wear out looking for replacements hasn't been easy. Some were too fluffy or large while others absorbed nothing. These are the best replacements I've found. They dry well, their size isn't so massive it renders them useless, and they're soft while maintaining that flat unwrinckled look . I've ordered several more since. If you were looking for the right ones to use as kitchen towels these are it!

Natural cotton towels make cute cafe curtains!
Since I couldn't find cafe curtains that I liked, I decided to use just regular cotton kitchen towels as curtains. These worked just fine. I'm even thinking about doing a little iron on design to dress them up further. They are a nice big size if you would want to use them around the house.

Bought these as a gift for my son - He LOVES them!
My son needed some dish towels; those he had were laid to rest! I purchased these because I believe in the quality and super absorbency of flour sacks! I grew up wiping dishes with white flour sacks - they washed beautifully in the machine. held their white bright color, and were very durable. He loves them and was quite surprised that flour sacks work MUCH BETTER than any commercial type! WTG Kaf Home - we are two happy campers!

not suitable for crafting, especially embroidery
These towels are just a half-grade above cheese cloth. Do not buy if intending to embroider. I'll use them for cleaning mirrors and windows.

The best dish clothes ever
KAF Home Flour Sack Kitchen Towels are FANTASTIC! I replaced all my old towels with KAF flour sack towels and life couldn't be any better. These towels are very large, very absorbent. All around a great product at a great price!

Not a true flour sack towel.
As a user of flour sack towels for many years I found these to be very disappointing. I immediately noticed that the weave of the towel was different than a true flour sack towel. When I used them I found the absorbancy to be almost nonexistent. A previous reviewer had mentioned that the absorbancy improves with washing. I have found that repeated washing has helped a small amount, but they remain almost unusable because of their very poor absorbancy. They are very pretty and white, but their good qualities end there. There is nothing better than a good old fashioned flour sack for wiping dishes and these towels pale in comparison. This purchase was a complete waste of my money.

Thin
Bought these same flour sack towels about a year ago and liked them so much that I purchased the towels again, but the new purchase didn’t seem like the ones I bought a year ago. The new ones are quite thin and don’t think they will last.
