Bissell Part 218-5600 - Genuine Calcium Water Filter for Bissell Steam Mop Cleaners 1865 Series, 1867 Series, 31N1 Series, 21H6 Series, 46B4 Series and 39W7

This filter looks exactly like the photo with green beads; it fits and works properly. My Bissell steam mop was not working due to a clogged filter. I purchased a new filter from a different seller but it arrived with brown beads (which looked suspiciously like my used filter). I installed it anyway, but my steam mop still didn't work. Once I installed this filter, though, the steam mop started working properly. This product appears to be a genuine Bissell product (or at least a very good facsimile) and I would purchase this filter again.

Changing filters was easy, and it was easy to tell by the color change from green to grayish/black that a change was needed. Also my mop seems to make weird noises when the filter is bad, I don't know if anyone else has noticed that. It is recommended you change the filter when it is used up or you can do permanent damage to your machine. I also have found that using a tiny bit of vinegar in the water tank keeps all the internal workings clean and mold free. The filter just pulls up and off and the new one just snaps right in place and the water tank goes on top. Couldn't be more simple.

This replacement filter is perfect! It helped increase the water flow. It’s a decent price to renew an older steam mop!!

The bissell steam mop is a great unit. We had it for over 6 months now and use it frequently. But the problem is in the filters. The plastic casing is weak and cracks easily. While cleaning, the steam mop accidentally bumped into the coffee table and instantly cracked in a spiderweb shape. I had to shut it down and remove the water reservoir and clean up the mess. I wish they made the case a bit thicker. However, I ended up buying 2 water filters from amazon as a replacement of the original in case it cracks again. Great price and shipping took 9 days from the time I ordered it. I'm happier now that I have my steam mop working again.

I read a lot of the reviews and thought that the people who gave it a poor rating probably purchased the wrong item or didn’t connect it properly. However I just received mine less than 6 hours ago, and completely understand what they were saying. It is impossible for this product to be an Bissell OEM product for the 1867 steam mop See the attached picture for validation this filter has a ring around the valve stem making it impossible for the water Reservoir to actually fit allowing the water to pass through. If this was a true OEM then the manufacturer would know this. The one I received did not have a red gasket ring around the stem it was black. Returning this and recommend others to have the vendor confirm the prior to purchasing. I do not recommend this product

I have had my Bissell steam mop for more than a decade and I love it. I use it on wood, ceramic tile and vinyl floors. This was the first time I felt I needed a new filter. It filters out minerals and impurities from the water tank, so you're sanitizing floors with super clean water. The old filter was a little tough to pull out. But the new one popped right in.

filter fit perfectly but the water tank cap and the water tank plug with straw is not even close so i have to keep and use the old one i dont understand why the right part's never come with what you order other wise i would give a better review shipping was super fast and the price is unsatisfactory considering over half the part's are incorrect im losing my faith in bissell if you own the bissell steam and clean IIdont order unless your desperate and cant find the filter any where else maybe call bissell otherwise your paying for part's that you will just throw in the trash

I ordered the filter, pads and scented water for the steam and sweep pet machine. All worked well. The steam was no longer working on the machine but once I put the new filter on it worked again. The scented water smells nice from the bottle but it does not leave a lasting smell in the house. The pads I found to be better than the original ones that came with the machine.

DO NOT BUY - There is a misleading 5 review for this product - the initial view of this product only shows one 5* review but if you look further there are many dissatisfied customer reviews lower down the page! This item doesn’t fit - there is an extra ridge around the valve nozzle that prevents it from fitting into the valve. Completely useless. Do not be fooled by the misleading 5* review, as I was!

I liked that I was able to find it for my Bissel floor steamer.

Sadly this filter was not compatible with my steam mop model 39W7 as advertised and I did not know until the return date had passed. I have learned from Bissell that there is no available alternative so this steam mop will have to go to appliance heaven even though it worked so well and was still perfect. What a waste! Please do not be persuaded that a filter for this steam mop can be replaced! no stars are deserved but one was required for this submission
