TWSBI70ml Fountain Pen Ink, Sapphire Blue

I have purchased TWSBI products for years and have almost always been happy with their offerings. I was really excited to try their inks as they looked to be a good ink for a very reasonable price and the bottle looked sharp as well. And amongst us fountain pen/ink geeks who hasn't bought a bottle of ink just because of a the bottle. I got my first bottle of TWSBI blue black weeks ago and liked it. Blue black is one of my favorites. Based on that experience I was looking forward to trying the straight blue that was described as more of a sapphire. I received the new ink and thought it looked curiously like the blue black and decided to do the q tip test. To my eye they look identical. The darker lines are due to the saturation of the q tip with ink. Good thing I like blue black. These things happen in the ink world (anyone remember the Noodler's purple that turned out to be their blue by mistake?). I am confident that TWSBI will get this worked out but if you're considering purchasing the blue please be aware of the possibility of a mix up.

A huge bottle of beautiful ink. The inkwell that goes inside it is a bonus. Even packaging is classy and well done on this. It’s 70mL of lovely ink. I wish the company would sell 70mL bottles of their beautiful purple-also a lovely ink.
