Great price as they are a little more costly per each at our local grocery store. My husband loves them and it’s great to through on a salad or eat them by themselves. Good quality item and we buy them frequently.

These are pretty good kippers, and I got a good batch (no leaky cans or anything). For those who haven't had them before and to use familiar terms, kippered herring is somewhat like tuna in consistency and texture. Yes, they smell a tad more fishy than tuna typically does, but this brand wasn't overwhelming. It's just there a bit. Although packed in oil, it drained easily enough, and I decided to cook mine by frying in a smidge of olive oil, with salt, pepper, a shake of Old Bay seasoning, and a few tablespoons of finely chopped red onion. Then I served it with eggs (hard-boiled, in this case). Cooked, the fishy aroma is virtually unnoticeable, and tasting it, the smoke flavoring comes through. The texture is crumbly, yet not dry (I didn't overcook), and I noticed no bones or other problems—at least not with the first can I tried. I bought these kippers mainly because I wanted more canned fish options available besides albacore tuna and the like, and these were significantly less expensive than the single brand carried by my local grocery store. Overall, I like them and may well get again once I make my way through the pack of 12 I got.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought a dozen or so of these fish container snack items to fill out an order I had placed, after trying kippers out, at the local store, when I was seeking some variety aside from tuna. Size: The size of the containers is snack/small meal size. One container is pretty satisfying. Oil content: The kippers are sitting in oil, which has a mild fish flavor. It doesn’t smell too fishy. Texture: The meat is very soft, and forks off, easily. I think that there’s no bones in the containers. Quality: The product tastes good, and it’s affordable priced, so buyers can have a tasty alternative to tuna. Taste: The taste is similar to trout.

Very tasty!! I smear cream cheese, the onion flavor, and one of these filets on a club cracker and one can, which is a serving of powerful nutrients and vitamins, the one can is a meal. Lunch, supper, bfast on the go, even. Better price than my local grocery store, too. Get you some!! STRONG 4STAR

I really really enjoyed the is brand of kippers. Tastes great smoked, with mustard, & on top of my cup of Ramen noodles. Smells like fish, smoked texture, great value for the money, excellent quality of fish, not too much salt, & the texture is smooth. I would buy again & recommend it to family & friends.

These are so delicious. My favorite so far. I only wish they were bone-in for extra calcium, but at least they're skin-on so that's a win. The meat is really white and flaky. The spice is perfection. Your mouth tingles long after you're done eating them which i love. Makes sense seeing they use Serrano peppers which are hotter than jalapenos

My cats come when opening a can... yet they love every spare bit they get. Just the right amount of oil, tasty, with good texture. I warm tortillas then fill two, smashing flat then crisp up the outsides for delish fish tacos. Great to have on hand!

If you enjoy eating canned fish, you should add these to your pantry. The smokey flavor takes these up a notch above canned tuna or salmon. Since I'm trying to add more fish into my diet, I thought these might be tasty. Bingo! I add these into scrambled eggs with some pepper and topped them with everything bagel seasoning (good on everything IMO). So yummy! Not too fishy, and the smokey flavor is excellent! Very filling too. Adding these to my subscription so I never run out.
