New to trad, but these are much easier to place than sport bolts. Lighter and more versatile than my BD C4s, so Friends are aid.Lost an over cammed Friend (bomber) to my 5.4 splitter project and bought more. Soon I'll have all of my life savings invested in my Friends.

I climb in The desert, lots of Sandstone, never enough cams. I own and use just about every style of cam ever made. M outside climbing 3 to 4 days a weeek. These are excellent! As good as C4s, slightly lighter and less expensive.

I guess if you want a detailed review, you should look at climbing sites. For my two-cents, placing the new Friends feels almost the same as placing BD Camalots of the same size.

I pulled the trigger on my set when the pandemic closed down my gym and forced me, for the better, into the outdoor world of trad climbing. I was pretty hell bent on buying a full set of C4s but ended up seeing them sold out everywhere. The end result was finding a really good sale on these and just going for it. I'm not disappointed at all.I haven't fallen on anything, but I trust them. I love the double slings so I don't have to carry regular draws, just alpines. I'm so pleased with these that I ended up buying doubles and in zero friends for .1 through .75. I'm a little surprised the Zero friends are that much more than the BD z4s, but the double sling makes it almost worth it.

Halten sehr gut, haben einen breiten Klemmbereich, Flexibilität des Schafts ideal, die verlängerbare Schlinge sehr hilfreich (vor allem beim Standplatzbau), super zum handeln, liegen gut in der Hand 👍Bei Kalk sind sie nicht ganz so gut wie Totems, aber reicht in den allermeisten Fällen
