Teva Men's Original Universal Urban Sandal, Black, 12 M US

I wear these pretty much every day, and they are quite nice. They replaced a pair of wal-mart sandals that I liked so much I kept wearing them after I wore a hole through one of the soles. (So of course they discontinued the model!) These fit quite well. I generally wear a men's 12 in sandals, and these are right in line with that. I have pretty flat arches, and these are just right, which is to say not much arch support. I've been wearing them daily for about 7 months, and have probably walked at least 2 miles every day in them, and there is still plenty of tread left on the soles. So they seem quite durable. The velcro in the straps still holds well, but there is a little fraying in places. Also one minor complaint: there is a little cloth part on the end of the straps which seems like it would be a tab to make it easy to grab the end...but the velcro extends onto the cloth part...so the end result is it actually makes it even harder to undo the straps. It's become a bit easier over time, and not a huge deal. Much better than having them come undone too easily.

This is a ~six-year review… As you could see from the video clip I’ve included, these have held up extremely well! Theres barely a stitch missing from the straps, the treads are not delaminating, and the tread is barely worn. As for use, I’ve worn these most of the warmer seasons in just about all situations where I don’t *need* to have close-toed shoes on. Even into the cooler months I’ll wear them with or without socks! They’re good for me on walks or hikes up to my personal maximum of ~10 miles. Your feet will actually get very dirty because you’ll be wearing them all over the place collecting road, off road, and sidewalk dirt! Cleaning of the sandals is easy, I’ll wipe them clean with a Clorox wipe and then soak them in Lysol and then let them sit out in the sun for a while… sometimes for a couple of Days. I have another pair that I rotate / wear when the other is either being cleaned or left elsewhere. Title of product says “urban sandal” but you can easily wear these on many easier hiking trails with zero issues. Go a half size up if you want a bit more toe protection, but dont trip!

Bought to use when driving as I don’t like anything without a back like a flip Flop fit is a bit small and the texture of the foot bed I snore sharp points than I expected. Other than the rough service they are well padded and comfortable. Good buy for the price and I tended use.

Product quality has really gone down since it went corporate and used to be my mainstay for decades. Way overpriced for what we are getting these days.

I love walking barefoot since my feet sweat a lot. I got tired of wearing slides and slippers that wear out in an year and since I go on hikes a lot I needed something more heavy duty. I tried buying some knock off teva's and literally all the straps fell off the sole in two weeks. I bought these unwillingly but boy, am I glad I did. It's been almost an year with this shoe and when I wash it with water and drying feels like it just came out of the box. Also, since the materials aren't fabric that hold moisture, they don't smell terrible for people that have sweaty feet like me. The rigidity is still there, which might not be everyone's cup of tea since they are quite rigid, but it works for me since I hike a lot with these. They don't have a ton of grip but there's a model specified for that. I have gone on so many walks, hikes, doing chores, literally my daily decision is these or an actual shoe when I'm going outside. You could technically have teva's and one pair of nice shoes and be set for the rest of your life. If you're not sure about getting these, just go ahead. Other than pebbles getting stuck under your foot occasionally and some weird tan lines you will get on your foot that you have to explain to everyone, these shoes will literally be there for you everyday.

Overrated and overpriced. I’ve purchased two pair and both pair are worn out inn18 months. No customer support for items more than one year old. Sandal season lasts about four months a year in Michigan. The soles have split at the glue line and the straps pull away from the sole.

These are great! They are comfortable and easy to get on and off. I like the even sole. Teva does not disappoint!

Very comfortable insole. Not all that crazy about the positioning of the straps (front of the feet exposure), but it works. Will not give you back pain, like some of the other expensive brands. One of the good purchases I have made in the last little while!
