Must read if interested in indian politics
Great book everyone should read who wants to know more about bjp the book keeps you engaged with authors analysis and quotes from political and non political backgroundI just hoped there would have been more about the 2009-2014 period specially if the book digged deeper on modi and advani relationshipThe book covered ram mandir though very deeply and thoroughlyOverall a great book

Good book
Good history of jan sangh and bjp has been given in the book...but this is an elementary book and do not give much in-depth knowledge.

Awesome book but slightly outdated as it was published in 2014 and a lot has happened since then
Kingshuk Nag is a great writer and he shows is writing skills quite aptly here as well. The book was published in 2014 and lot has happened since then, unfortunately the book doesn't have anything regarding that. But if someone wants to know the history of BJP and RSS can buy this book. However I have a recent and better alternative to this book written by national general secretary of BJP and minister Bhupendra Yadav and Ila Patnaik. The name of the book is "The Rise Of BJP". You can go for that.

Plz make a documentary out of this...
Quite a generalist overview from inception to 2014, but enough for a regular citizen. I would certainly wish a documentary to be made out of the book. Throughout the work I didn't witness any bias towards any political thoughts, it is strategy upon strategy piled, few worked, few didn't. Such a documentary might help youngsters understand the framework of the country's fabric better. Yes we are split into multiple communities, factions but that doesn't make us an inferior nation. Our reality is unique and more everybody is aware of it, higher will the collective consciousness be. Lynching, mobbing, communal Crimes might not stop any time soon, and perhaps it never will, not in India mot across the world. Amidst all this lies state craft, Strategy, micro-macro scale making the journey a solid case for future generations.
