Prepworks by Progressive Brown Sugar ProKeeper

I live in Arizona and when we first moved here I couldn’t understand why within a few days my brand new box of brown sugar gets hard as a rock. Well it didn’t take long to figure it out. I was tired of repurchasing brown sugar only to have it harden up again. It would harden up so bad that I couldn’t reconstitute it or make it soft again. I used my microwave, used a wet paper towel, I even used a mallet to break it up. When I purchased this I truly believed I would have to start out with a brand new box of brown sugar as I didn’t think this would soften my already hardened box of it. Thankfully I was wrong. I managed to put the rock hard “bolder” of brown sugar in the air tight container and after soaking the disk in water for 15 minutes I put the disk into the container with the brown sugar. I closed it up and the next morning my brown sugar was literally fluffy and fresh as if it was just purchased. I really didn’t expect that, at least not to the extent it did. This container is such a money saving tool and I’m so glad I purchased it. The size is perfect, as it fits the standard size box or bag of brown sugar. I definitely would recommend this to anyone looking to keep their sugars fresh

Needed an additional brown sugar container and as I really like the one I already had from Progressive, decided to putchase this one. Overall, it's the same product, but I will say that this seller attaches a paper label to the container which I tried to soak off unsuccessfully. Had to use Goo Gone to remove the label. IMO the label should have been attached to the paper sleeve inside the container. I do feel it's pricey for what it is, but the container works very well and the clay disc does an excellent job of keeping the sugar soft.

Great little brown sugar container, great size for my needs and I love the fact that it came with the clay disk to keep your brown sugar from clumping!

I ordered two different sizes and am very pleased with the quality and functionality.

Wish the clay piece would stay in the lid, but it falls out constantly. The lil holders break off easily as well.

It is well-made and keeps the brown sugar well.

The media could not be loaded. I could never keep my brown sugar from drying out. My mom told me to purchase this and I was still skeptical. This container rocks! The sugar stays soft and moist in this air tight container. It's so easy to use~ just moisten the terracotta disk and bury it into the fresh bag of sugar. You can keep opening it for use and it continues to stay fresh. Durable and well made! Sugar stays fresh and doesn't fall out so no more need to double bag your open sugar bag or box! Easy cleaning, innovative design and a secure place on the lid to store the disk when not in use. The bottom of the thick plastic even has feet to keep it in place and sliding around on the counter. The compact container is easily stored without being bulky and taking up a lot of room. Keep it out...it is really a pretty piece!

Like most people, I had a bag of rock hard brown sugar I was ready to throw away. Then I remembered about this type of container! I found this one, which was the ideal size for my needs, and I ordered it right away. Of course, the two days I waited for it to arrive ensured the sugar I had was even more solid than before.However, let me tell you, once I had soaked the terra cotta disk and put it and the sugar in the container, a miracle occurred. Within a day, my sugar was soft again! I even made cookies to celebrate this.PROS:- Container is airtight- Instructions are easy to follow- Did what it was supposed to doCONS:- Instructions are on the underside of the lid, leading to me spending a solid three minutes going ???? about where they were. However, uh, turns out it says "directions under lid" on the label. Whoops.
