This formula supports bone, nail and hair health in several ways. It starts with the vitamins D3, K2, then adds in key minerals such as calcium, zinc and magnesium, and adds the trace mineral boron.Cissus quandragularis is supposed to have many healing properties, as as analgesic, weight loss supplement, to treat diabetes 2, and here it is presumably included for its highly touted bone healing properties. In India it is used as a pain reliever, and to heal broken bones. Indeed one of its many names is asthisamharaka, which translates to 'that which prevents the destruction of bones.’ There are some studies, including a 2009 study that perhaps the most in depth analysis of CQ’s method of action. It found that CQ activated and sped up the process of turning bone marrow stem cells into osteoblasts (bone cells). The formula also contains Arjuna bark and Ashwaganda. Arjuna bark is an Ayurvedic herb best known for treating heart ailments. I’m honestly not sure what it’s doing in this formula.The third family of ingredients is a proprietary blend called triperine. Since Biperine (a concentrated extract of black pepper known for making supplements more easily absorbable,) I guessed that this is a variation on that and that’s precisely what it is. There are two kinds of pepper, black pepper and long pepper in this formula as well as ginger.I think this is a well balanced formula that covers most of the bases. I can’t say that its working with 100% certitude because I’m also taking other hair/nail/bone supplements. Because of this current regimen which now includes this product, I am definitely noticing my hair is fuller and nails seem stronger. While I can’t attribute this to one supplement, this one is definitely staying in my arsenal.

I got this supplement for a friend of mine who's been having some issues. I like the idea of integrating ingredients from oriental and ayurvedic medicine with modern science. The supplement has vitamins D3 and K2, and small amounts of calcium, magnesium, and boron. Then there are proprietary blends of ayurvedic and oriental ingredients. So far my friend reported that there is an improvement with the hair and nails. The bottle has 120 capsules in it and should last about a month (the recommended dosage is 4 capsules). The capsules are not very large and are easy to swallow. The price is fair, considering the quality of the ingredients. Overall, I think it is a good supplement and it's worth a try for that suffering from hair loss or weak nails.

I love that this supplement seems so high quality and is both GMP processed and third party tested. It is easy to take and covers a broad base of vitamins and herbs that may help hair grow. I've been dealing with hair loss caused by a medical condition and I have tried a number of supplements. Some have only 2-3 ingredients and others have a whole boat load of ingredients. This supplement seems to be a nice balance of good ingredients without including too much.I really like that the sources used (i.e. the magnesium forms) are all high quality. They didn't skimp and go with cheap alternatives that only sound good but actually don't absorb well. So far, I'm tolerating this supplement well and I think its helping with the hair loss.The two ingredients I would point out just in case they are problematic for others are the black pepper which is not AIP (autoimmune) friendly and the ashwaganda that is a nightshade. Some people are sensitive to those. I did not have a problem with either in this supplement but it may be because the sources used are good quality or in small enough amounts to tolerate them.I'd highly recommend this supplement so far and will update this if that changes.
