If you’re looking for a decent carry blade, you have found it!
A very sweet & to the point EDC option I can say without reservation is one excellent close at hand tool. I appreciate having a knife with simple functionality, heft without being too weighty, & just looks good. I appreciate CRKT’s superb fit & finish! This is a smart decision for an affordable carry blade that looks & fits its roll to be handy & able when needed. I like it enough I acquired a second one to stow in my tote bag. I enthusiastically recommend this knife. It’s a keeper!

Light weight for EDC.
These CRKT knifes are awesome just like all the EDC knifes they make. Definitely worth the money.

Great EDC for medium size hands!
The Piet is an interesting little knife; I picked one up because Vox designs are always great and although my hands are a bit to large for this particular model (L/XL gloves) I can tell that for the right person this would be the perfect budget EDC. The Good: the texture on the handles/scales is awesome, something about it reminds me of the 90s and I really hope CRKT uses it on some other models! I also like the shape of the thumb deployment hole and the way the scale on that side is contoured to give the user full access - it gives the knife a really classy look. The knife has full length steel liners which gives the unit a reassuringly solid feel in the hand which is not always the case with knives in this price range. The design of the body gives priority to the pocket clip rather than the lanyard hole which is much appreciated - to many good budget knives are ruined by getting that the wrong way around! Finally, the hardware used on the knife (pivot, screws, etc) is good quality stuff, surprisingly so for such a cheap knife. The Meh: Although the blade material is pretty low end if you are used to $$$ knives, it is a perfectly serviceable steel and arrived razor sharp with an even grind on my example. The deployment hole on this knife is only accessible from one side - if you're a fan of reverse flicking your knifes, you won't be able to do that here. The action is also not 'flicky' but doesn't drag to much either - it's 'methodical' if that makes sense: the knife appears to have been designed with the intention of the user slowly thumb-rolling it open and that's all you're going to get out of it. Ironically if you are a lefty you will ONLY be able to reverse flick the knife which means you might actually have a bit more fun with it than the rest of us! Using my left hand, the design is very well suited to reverse flicking thanks the the cutout and shape of the hole (once the action wears in a little). The stock pocket clip is a bit bulky imo, sticks out a little further from the body than I'd prefer similar to how Kizer clips are on their smaller knives. The grip is a bit odd in my (rather big) hands - there's what appears to be a finger choil on the blade, but the handle has a hard protruding corner in the same area which makes griping up on the knife a little uncomfortable. The Bad: As mentioned above, this is a smaller knife for folks with medium sized hands - in my large to X large mitts it's a struggle to hold the knife in a way that my thumb can get into the deployment hole while keeping a good grip on the body. This is also not a knife that comes apart (or goes back together) easily - the factory put VERY strong thread locker on the pivot and clip which is generally a good thing, but if you like to tinker it makes it a bit of a headache to get apart the first time. Fortunately they used quality hardware, but even so heat is your friend. Getting the knife back together was likewise a bit tricky, took a few trys to get the blade centering 'good enough' while also having the pivot not be to tight or to loose. The Mods: After some experimentation I found the clip off a QSP Penguin fits the Piet and imo looks quite nice while more importantly slimming the profile down a bit. The knife uses nylon (I assume) washers but I found PB ones meant for a Spyderco C10 or C11 (0.5x8x4.2mm) fit perfectly and swapped them in for smoother deployment. The liner lock on my unit was way to strong and sticking, had to de-tune it a little to make it easier to open/close which drastically improved the deployment of the knife. I'll upload some pictures comparing the Piet with other popular knives (Elementum, Delica 4, Leek, and the Alt Pyrite) so you can get sense of the size. I'll also upload a picture of the knife completely stripped for the curious :)

Great little knife
If you live in a city where blade sizes longer than 3” are illegal to carry in public, this is an excellent choice for every-day carry. The knife is compact, yet because of the width of the blade and handle, still feels sturdy and strong. The blade is very sharp and holds an edge well. It also doesn’t have an opening assist - also important because laws in many cities also restrict assisted-opening knives - yet it’s easy to open with one hand using the thumb notch. The handle isn’t fancy but durable and very usable. I have always had good luck with CRKT knives, and this is no exception.

Very nice pocket knife.
Great little knife. Thick strong blade. Cutout for linear lock access really nice feature. Tighten blade swivel screw; it tends to open unexpectedly if to loose.

What's not to like?
It's small but very user friendly. Ergonomics are very good and comfortable in hand; for me a 4 finger grip. Blade centering is spot on and razor sharp. Blade also has a beautiful polished finish. Scales are very acceptable and texture provides decent purchase along with a really good stainless deep pocket clip and recessed flat head T6 screws. Blue back spacer gives it an upscale sophisticated look, nice touch. Workmanship is excellent. I find no fault with this knife, the clean flowing Jesper Voxnaes design is a bargain for the price. The material selections by CRKT is understandable for the price point and they're acceptable for me. The action is fine and should be better with use. Yes, I do recommend the Piet. It's a friendly little EDC for sure.

Great EDC for the Sale Price
This is an excellent knife for the sale price. Came relatively sharp out of the box and makes a great EDC knife. This was a replacement for an older model that I lost. Very happy with my purchase.

Great knife, poor factory QC on this one
First, this is a great design and execution of a Voxnaes design by CrKt. I own several other knives by them and unfortunately this is the first one that seems to have slipped past quality control. The main issues are pretty hard lock stick, the blade wasn’t close to centered (even after minor adjustments) and the liner lock bar was barely sufficient to lock up the blade. This is a major safety concern and the timing issue should’ve been caught and adjusted at the factory in my opinion. Also, once examined a little closer, one of the backspacer screws seems to be cross threaded, which could contribute to the centering issue I suppose. Just seems like a Friday afternoon production run. Lovely design, came razor sharp and even ground, fit my L/XL hands quite nicely, but with the barely locked timing and lock stick I’m returning this example and may purchase at a later date once the initial production rush is done.

Buena navajita para uso diario, hubiera querido que los cojinetes fueran al menos de latón. Buena relación calidad precio.
