I used this swing hinge to hang a full 6’ indoor shutter. It works perfectly and is sturdy enough to hold this antique, 20 lb. shutter. The hinge has detente to center the swing or 90 degrees to left or right. Installation was easy enough, but I don’t believe any instructions were included.

I bought a similar set for $22 at ACE thinking this was a same day project. Well when it didn’t end up being a same day project, I lost a piece and bought this one set to replace it. At $8 a set still cheaper than what I paid. It’s also WAY higher quality. Ended up finding the missing piece and returning this one. Wish I would have waited and bought 2 sets from this seller instead

These hinges hold a pair of saloon doors used to separate the employees only area of my little neighborhood gift shop.The hinges were easy enough to install after reading the instructions, carefully measuring and using painters tape to mark out the hinge placement on the door frame.Only issue is that the doors do not swing shut by themselves, which really defeats the purpose of having saloon doors.The hinges come with little plastic triangles that, when placed in slots in the lower hinges, are supposed to keep the doors from staying in the open position. With or with out the little plastic ramps, the doors do not swing closed by themselves. I always have to close the doors manually.

Good instructions on back of packaging makes it fairly easy to install. I used one set of hinges to make a swing-away gate to keep our old dog out of the kitchen while we're cooking. I made the gate using pocket screws and added a latch to keep him from pushing it open. Works great and stows out of the way when not in use, see pictures.

Works like a charm; just be sure you measure correctly and use a level.

The brackets are not 90 degrees, which means that there is stress on the bottom bracket and the doors do not swing freely. I had to remove the plastic parts and bend the brackets to 90 degrees in a vise. They now work as intended.

A bit of a pain to install if you want normal looking doors, you will have to shorten the doors and notch the bottom to get a normal door appearance. If you don't mind having a huge space above the doors or you are installing them to break up a hallway rather than in a doorway.

The items were as described.Instructions are a challenge but through it.Had to spray with silicone spray to make work. Great now.
