It's very economical and handy.

I like the look and feel. As well as the features. Very reliable.

Perfect talk text phone with basic internet.

Quite a nice phone for calling and texting only. Runs KiaOs 2.5 and brings with it, GPS, maps, Google Assistant, internet sharing and a variety of apps. Was getting low memory notification until I uninstalled all the preinstalled apps that I could. Phone is slow. It's not about that. KiaOs really is for other markets. So if you need a talk text phone with no tracking and have option to uses internet in an emergency.. this phone is it. It will also hotspot 3g to your old smartphone. Key pad is even backlit. Works on T-Mobile. It's a bit large. Only $30!

Good idea, bad phone

Doesn't do what even the phone says it does! I love the idea of having a basic phone with smart phone features. The phone says it has predictive text but doesn't! I triple checked it was on but not functioning. Also would not save my contacts to the contact list. They were on the phone but only would pull up if I knew the number to type in manually. Sad because the operating system seems good. Great idea, bad phone. Returned for a refund, company was easy to work with on that.

RIP BLU Zoey

Died with 3G, wanted to spend some time with the old format while it lasted. If your provider still supports 3G then you could have stinted YouTube and internet browsing anytime. It's simple and fulfilling, like corn cob pipe smoking, or getting into candy you hid from your kids. The simple things in life.

Decent Little Phone.

Been using it for about a week. It does phone stuff rather well.No speaker phone for calls. and cant get it to connect to a Bluetooth headset.Did have to root the device and edit the launcher app to change the shortcuts on the side bar. Also had to edit the ringtones app to be able to get a custom ringtone. That kinda sucked, I cant see a novice doing that easily. Also, it has 1/2 the ram that most KaiOS devices have. This makes apps run really slugish, ive had the maps app crash on me while using it to get somewhere. "out of memory"If you are looking for a cheap little phone to be a phone, this is great. If you are trying to reminisce on the "candy bar phone" days of old, this is going to leave you disappointed.

Does less than phones I had many years ago

One feature which comes through is the wifi. So that's good. Also, the buttons feel good. Everything about the software seems like what you might expect the first time someone made a phone. Maybe you should still get it because it's still a useful basic phone plus wifi. But KaiOS is not good, and it's not getting better. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because it's so cheap, but I feel like I spent more effort writing this review than someone spent making the OS.To be clear, I am not holding this phone to Android standards. Everything I mention below is a comparison to non-touchscreen phones and apps from before my first Android. I am also thinking about a KaiOS phone I had 2 years ago, which had some of the problems still present. At least it's a cheap phone, but keep in mind it might not work for your carrier because it's only 3g.Short list:Terrible browser, even by bar phone standardsUgly display (might be improved simply by mounting it differently)Can't change app shortcutsHas predictive text entry, but does not want you to use it (seriously)Some weird behaviorsLonger...Bluetooth doesn't work at all for me. Maybe mine is just defective? It's not a synch/password problem, it literally can't tell anything exists. Other phones, headset, my neighbor's BT speaker which for some reason always shows up on other devices. The scan screen is blank. It has predictive text, but ALWAYS DEFAULTS TO MULTI-TAP MODE. Every time you open the browser or other app, you have to click the pound sign as many as 5 times (depending on the context) to change to predictive mode. It's ALWAYS the last option. You can't modify any of the shortcuts. That list of icons you see on the left side of the main screen (accessed with d-pad left) is permanently set to that list. You can't add, delete, or re-order the shortcut icons, and you can't change the other d-pad shortcuts (up is quick settings, right camera, down nothing). The only thing you can change is the order of apps in the full app list, which is better than nothing, but has no effect on the shortcuts. The display has a very narrow vertical viewing angle, and seems like it is mounted upside-down. To avoid either washout or blackout, the ideal viewing angle is to be looking at it from slightly above. You can improve the annoying menu/text experience caused by the display by selecting reversed colors in the accessibility menu, but that inverts the color of EVERYTHING... including pictures both on the phone and on websites. It literally just completely inverts all color, it's not a high-contrast color scheme or anything like that. The web browser is still bad, even with KaiOS being a few years old. It has 2 movement modes, either a cursor-style or you can hit the 2 key and change to full screen scrolling with no cursor. That sounds like a good idea, but this is where the good ideas end. In cursor mode, sometimes it jumps directly from one clickable link to the next (a handy method used by Opera Mini 15 years ago), but sometimes it tries to hang on plain text lines and switches to a text-style cursor, even though it has no text select/copy function. I don't know how it decides to start jumping by text line instead of skipping to links. In non-cursor scrolling mode, it's a little slow and there is no page-down option (numerous keypad buttons are unused and available for such a feature). This is something older non-touchscreen browsers had years ago, and there is even a 3rd-party browser in the Kai store which can do that (but lacks most other features, so don't bother). Also no option to turn off javascript, which can cause huge bloating if someone sends you a link to a non-mobile page. And another browser problem which is a very silly purely incompetent software thing... you can't use predictive text when searching from the address bar. They specifically made it not be an option for the address bar. The browser has one of the softkeys as a "search" shortcut, and yet all it does is open the address bar where you can't use predictive text. So googling a long word or phrase is very annoying to do, unless you go to the Google website first, then tediously select the search box with the cursor, then change to predictive text mode by pushing the pound key 5 times.A lot of "apps" are just shortcuts to open the (poor quality) web browser and go to that company's mobile website, which is not optimized for phones like this. The Wikipedia app does work well, but the Twitter and Youtube non-apps are miserable.Sometimes after closing the browser, the arrow cursor still appears in the middle of the screen and just stays there. To get rid of it, you have to open the browser again and close it again. This same bug was present in the first KaiOS phone I tried 2 years ago.The end button is really a back button, and sometimes it even forgets it's supposed to do that. It will not go directly to the main screen, so you have to click it a bunch of times. Sometimes a long press will do the trick, but it gets confused if you are typing in a text box--as soon as it starts functioning as a backspace button, it forgets it is a back navigation button even after all text is gone. No amount of pressing the end button (long or short) will exit either the text box or the browser app until you manually exit the text box.You can't let an app sit still in the background. It has to close. I had a Sony Ericsson w200 (released 2007) which would do this, I think just for two apps at a time, so you could minimize your browser or email (it would ask when you press End), go send a text message, and come back to the same page. It didn't "run" in the background, but sat there waiting for your return without losing track of where you were. They went with a smaller BL4C battery (smaller than the common BL5C, already not very big), even though it's not an especially small phone and there is plenty of room for a larger one. Blu doesn't CALL it a BL4C, it's Blu branded, but that's definitely what it is. I knew the battery capacity was not huge, but when I opened up the back cover and saw how small it was compared to the phone size... come on.

Pretty good

This is a decent KaiOS phone for a great price. My only complaint is that it lacks support for AWS-band HSPA. This prevents the 3G from working in many places in the US on T-Mobile. This phone will become useless in a couple years as well because T-Mobile and AT&T are shutting down their 2G and 3G networks, but I knew that going in. I bought this to tinker with KaiOS and as a backup phone on a PayGo SIM card.
