Perfect fit for my Camel-Bak
The original bladder that came with my Camel-Bak biking pack reached the end of it's useful life. The rubber gasket stretched out and this caused a lot of water to leak out. I checked the Camel-Bak site and it seems that they redesigned the bladder. I'm usually hesitant about buying third party items, but I didn't want to buy a a new pack, because it was in good working order. I read the reviews and purchased this. It arrived the next day. I rinsed it out and put it into the pack. I like the quick release hose attachment and the on off lever by the bite valve. I also like that the hose it a bit longer than the original Camel-Bak one. I did not detect any off taste or oder from the bag. So far, I'm quite happy with my purchase.

Excellent replacement for Camelback
I misplaced my camelback bladder in the madness of a cross-country move so I was relieved to find this available for 2-day shipping a few days before a festival. Reviews did claim these would fit most standard Camelback bags so I took a chance and am so glad I did because it’s not only 100% compatible size-wise, but I also think the mouthpiece is a sleeker/less bulky design and the opening is wider so it’s easier to get in there and clean or dry it. Highly recommend!

It holds water
Love the cleaning kit and hanger, help to keep the bag clean. Only downside of this bladder is that it will leak out the mouth if the valve is not closed.

Great Product
I was looking for a replacement bladder for my older Camelbak water carrier. The tube connection at the bottom of the bladder became brittle and snapped off, necessitating a replacement unit. The tube for this bladder connects to the bottom with an O-ring seal that snaps into place. This is a great design and makes storage and cleaning much easier. Before using my bladder, I heated a quart of water with 1/3 cup of vinegar to about 100-120F in the microwave and poured it into the bladder and sealed the lid and let it stand for 4 h or so. I then rinsed it out and did the same thing with a quart of water with 1/3 cop of baking soda. This will remove the buld of the impurities in the plastic that could give the water an off flavor. Thirdly, I then did the same thing with a quart of water and 1/3 cup or lemon juice. This is just an additional cleanup finishing step. All in all, the results were great. (NOTE: DON'T heat the water-filled bladder in the microwave, as there is a metal ring around the feed tube snap-on that will heat and could possible melt a hole in the bladder.)A TIP: Here's a tip for connecting the feed tube and the lid. Moisten the O-rings with water to help lubricate the seal and make it easier to attach and close. A thin film of olive oil would work even better.I also would recommend getting the cleaner kit from Amazon (Michael Josh Hydration Water Bladder Cleaning Kit). It also contains a bladder insert that makes it easy to expand the unit for drying after cleaning. The insulated sleeve for the feed tube is also a good addition and is also available from Amazon (Hydration Pack Insulated Drink Tube Covers).

Why spend a lot of money
When you can buy one for half the price that gives the same results. I’ve taking it hiking a few times, no problems no leaks

Perfect for hiking
Easy to use/fill and keep clean. It holds quite a bit of water, and keeps my family of 4 (me, my wife + 2 kiddos) hydrated for a full hike- so it would more than suffice for 1 person. Have had this for about a month or so now, and have no noticed any leaking.

Bought for recovery period after surgery -- Best purchase I made!
As the caregiver for someone recovering from a recent surgery, I knew they would need to drink A LOT of water and due to the nature of the surgery, may have problems lifting a heavy water bottle they normally use. This bladder has been fantastic -- easy to fill, so far no leaks and super convenient to have in bed with the patient to keep up with the amount of water they're supposed to be drinking. My only regret is not getting a larger one -- I went with the 2L, and the 3L would mean slightly fewer refills. Not sure how it would work in an active situation (i.e. in an actual backpack on a hike), but for our needs, it's been perfect.

Disappointing product / Customer Service
Bought this for my wife so she could carry 2 liters of water on a hike. Her previous bladder was a CamelBak brand that held 1.5. Had that one since 2008 and it still holds up. This one was leaking the very first time she used it. It leaks at the port where the drinking tube is inserted. It doesn't leak around the tube though. When I took the tube out and put some pressure on the bladder, I could see water leaking out against the bladder, right beside the yellow release button. (In the picture, I put pressure on the bag for a few seconds and you can see the water which had come out from somewhere near the yellow button and dribbled down.) We put the bladder in a small garbage bag so that she could use it on our other hikes and it continued to leak. When we returned home, I wanted to get a refund for the bladder but through Amazon it showed that I needed to return the bladder in its original packaging, which we had already thrown out before our hiking trip. So then I took the "contact the manufacturer" route. I filled out the form on the Unigear website which said: "Please fill out the quick form and we will be in touch with lightning speed." Well, it's been 3 days and I've heard nothing. I think they meant lightning bug speed. I don't expect to hear anything from them at this point so I'm leaving this review. Clearly disappointed in both the product and their customer service. I should have known better since the picture of the bladder shows water spraying all around it. That is apparently the water leaking out. You can take a chance like I did and hope you get a decent bladder or just go with the tried and true brands that know what they're doing and have the integrity to back their product.

Great Quality, has lasted several years.
Well worth the price, no need to buy a Camelback bladder that is twice the price. I use mine a ton.

Works great
Bought for a long backcountry hike. It fills really easily with the large opening in a river or lake. No leaks and has a quick connect hose. I put a water filter inline by cutting the hose in two. No squeezing or time-consuming filtering required. The mouthpiece draws the water very nicely from the bag even with the filter inline. The material is not really thick but has held up so far.

Great Kit
Great package for bladder and cleaning kit the Achilles heel of these is usually the long brush for cleaning the tube this one is spiral stainless steel and very durableHaven't used the bladder but nice to have a back up for the price of just the kit .

Better than competitors
The media could not be loaded. Bought this bladder along with a CKE brand bladder. See photos and videos.Pros:The mouthpiece does not leak at all, even when the valve is open. Nice wide chew on the mouthpiece. The connection to the bladder is wonderful - a really great button-release. Easy to remove for cleaning. The bladder material is supple, and construction seems durable.Cons:The filler cap and handle is very heavy, large plastic. I feel like it’s unnecessary weight, but it does mean that it’s wider for filling and the handle provides an okay grip on the weight of the full bladder. I would have preferred a lighter, smaller opening with a “ring” shaped handle rather than this giant piece of plastic. The valve on the mouthpiece is nice but I worry it will break over time. Not sure what the warranty would be on this.At first glance, this Unigear bladder is better than the similarly priced CKE brand bladder.Have not evaluated flavour and field function yet. Will update after a two day hike this weekend.
