Great tire, love having a high volume option for my road/gravel bike
I got these tires to install on my Traitor Wander touring bike. I ride mostly gravel and dirt trails with the bike and previously had Maxxis Happy Medium 700x42 tires on it. With those 700x42 tires installed the frame is maxed out with no clearance for full fenders. A week long tour from Pittsburgh to Washington DC using quick release RaceBlade style fenders proved that they are not suited for gravel riding. After three days of riding the rear fender got caught and mangled in my rear wheel breaking my chain in the process. This led to an eight hour detour by foot to the closest town to have my chain fixed (I was stupidly not carrying a chain tool). After that experience I decided to look for a solution to fit real fenders and these are it (and started carrying a chain tool).I had a lot of trouble installing these. I installed them on non-tubeless rims with tubes but no matter how quickly I inflated them (using an air compressor) the bead of the tire wouldn’t seat correctly. I eventually contactacted WTB who gave me some advice but still I couldn’t get them installed correctly. After spending some time on Google I decided to try soapy water, I actually used conditioner since it seems especially slick to me. I put a squirt of conditioner in a water bottle, filled the rest up with water, shook it till it mixed thoroughly, then drenched the tire with it focusing mostly on the bead. With this on the tire and using an air compressor they popped into place like a normal tire! I have concerns about not being able to reseat them if I get a flat on the road but I’ll have to deal with that when it happens, maybe I’ll start carrying a travel size bottle of conditioner.Once I had them installed I was very impressed with the ride. The bike handles similar to how it did before but it almost feels like it has suspension now. All the air volume in the tires makes riding gravel feel almost smooth and nearly eliminates any road chatter when on pavement. I haven’t mounted fenders yet but there is now plenty of room to do so. Great tires!

Fast rolling wide tires
I love these tires. They roll fast on pavement and grip reasonably well on dirt and gravel. I run them tubeless. The only downside is that they puncture easier than some others I've used. Fortunately, they've always sealed quickly, so no real problem. I've ridden several thousand miles of pavement, gravel and dirt on two pairs of them. Overall, the best tires I've used on my Surly Bridge Club. Highly recommended.

Great Tire for all-road bikes
These tires are fantastic for all road bikes. I've even taken them on mountain bike trails, though I don't recommend doing that since my bike and tires aren't designed for that terrain. But in a pinch, they surprisingly handled the roots and rocky terrain quite well. Admittedly, they were a bit slippery, but considering they're not mountain bike tires, I was impressed with their performance. The tire's suppleness also helped absorb some of the impact without needing any suspension.Just three days prior, I went on a 200-mile road trip with the same tires, "keeping up" with the roadies. They held up admirably, and I was thoroughly impressed with their versatility.I highly recommend these tires to anyone who do both road and gravel biking.

Much better than expected
Basically it is a well-made tire that seems to grip the road very well when you are up right and riding straight down the middle of the road. Once you hit a corner they really shine as the different compounds seem to grip at different levels as you tilt the bike and need to hold on to the road. I find that the tires are really good and on my 2017 Diamondback Haanjo EXP they seem to fit perfectly without any clearance issues or rub. They measure a little bit under 47 millimeters and deliver exceptional ride especially at about the 45 PSI level and I am 235 pounds so that is really remarkable. In the rain you feel like you are on dry pavement but at high speed they hold the water a bit and you get a little spray even with good fenders installed. The gum walls look very retro and I have received a few nice comments about how good they look on the bike. I really recommend these and I would definitely buy them again and again. 5 stars for sure. I think I'm going to set them up as tubeless tires soon so I may add to this review and let you know what I think of that.

Decent tire but doesn't last
Ran these on my gravel bike for a while since most of my riding is commuting on pavement. They worked great for a bit and rolled well. I got a few flats from glass/wire/road debris but don't blame the tire for them. However, after about a year of riding, these tires developed many variances in the sidewalls that made me think that my wheels were no longer true. I figured they'd last a lot longer.WTB seems to make some good things, and these tires sure do look cool on a gravel bike. But, not sure I'd get them again

Great tires for the price
These are well-made and smooth rollers. They get good traction on pavement and dusty conditions. They also seem to wear very slowly which is a plus.

Ok listen up, these are top tier
My new bike came with some Maxxis tires that lasted literally one ride. ok I may have ridden through glass filled areas but still not a good look. I did my research and went the horizons and man the difference was immediate, these tires roll really fast but yet stick to the ground super well. Let's see how long they last but so far so good.

Good tire, but the bead/rim is extremely tough
Tires work well, but the bead/rim is EXTREMELY tough and a fight to get both on and off the rim.
