- Based on the Peter Rabbit stories by Beatrix Potter
- This Christmas plate features a central picture of boy rabbits in blue coats, some with umbrellas, walking into a thatched-covered building. Beneath the picture is a likeness of Beatrix Potter's signature in red. Circling the main picture are these words: "Peter Rabbit wishes you a very Merry Christmas." Around the perimeter are a delightful set of images -- pictures of a multitude of characters from the Beatrix Potter books -- Mrs. Tiggy-winkle, Jemima Puddleduck, Benjamin Bunny, The Tailor of Gloucester, Tom Kitten, Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin, Mrs. Tittle-mouse, Jeremy Fisher, Flopsy Bunnies and "Two Bad Mice" . Curly pink ribbon, greens with hanging Christmas balls, wrapped gifts, holly, bells, an angel, bee, and bird creatively connect the images.
Bring in the holidays with yet another Wedgwood Christmas plate - a glorious tradition which began in 1981 and, thankfully, continues today.
