As a new dog groomer, I wanted an affordable thinner and these have been great for getting started. They arrived sharp and do their job effectively. My other purple dragon brand chunkers have had issues with notches even after getting them sharpened (I’ve never even dropped them!) so I am glad that these are better quality than that pair

First off, let me say am by no means a professional groomer. I cut my Yorkie who has really fine like baby hair.These thinning shears are really really sharp, so be careful. They feel good. light weight and comfortable. I am ambidextrous and have no problem switching hands with these. With the help of Youtube, the resulting cut I get with this scissor is quite impressive, especially for an amateur like me. It smooths out the initial cuts that I use with the straight scissors and also just general thinning of the face, ear, neck and chest area. I am quite happy with the quality and price of this Purple Dragon Thinning Shears. I have been using them for a about a year now and have had no problem with them.

the shears actually work awesome for the price! great for a beginner groomer or even a seasoned groomer like myself. they are better then some of my more expensive shears.. but they are advertised as lefty & righty, i am a lefty & they don't work left handed well at all. luckily i can groom with both hands.

Very sharp, professional quality (I'm a professional groomer and use these), I just recommend getting more teeth for finer detail thinners. These are a good in between for Chunkers and thinners, they do bulk thinning.

These shears immediately caught my attention because of the color, love it! They shears came well packaged. They are very sharp and cut hair well. They not only look great, but are made from high grade stainless steel and ae very strong and well balanced. They are very comfortable with an ergonomically curved finger and thumb hole. I am pleased with the quality of these shears.

These are so comfortable and easy to use. Yes - they ARE sharp. However, anyone familiar with thinning shears knows to be extremely careful and alert while using them. The weight is perfect. The teeth and blade are perfectly aligned. They are well balanced. Makes grooming so much easier - I am only upset with myself not getting them sooner. They are so much better than my old ones I have been relying on for way too long. Just love these scissors. Thank you, Amazon!

Wow, these shears really do the job well! Whether you are taking off volume or using them to thin out coats, it is definitely the shear you want in your grooming bag! I do recommend buying/using finger adjusters because these are for ambidextrous use, so the holes are positioned at an angle and they may tend to wear strangely on your thumb or ring finger. With those in place, utter perfection!!!

Packaging was secure. Shears came SUPER sharp and balanced! Feels like nice metal. The finger holes are curved to supposedly fit your hand better, I am left handed so they don’t really feel super nice but manageable. They do not catch and they cut very smooth. Again, this is a tool that should be used by professionals as it’s very sharp and can hurt yourself or your pet
