Natural Aluminum Commercial Muffin Pan, 12 Cup

We have some Nordic Ware products and have had no issues, so we chose this pan. I will rate this aluminum pan as good enough for commercial use. It is thick enough to take reasonable abuse and will not rust. I'm done with steel pans that will rust over time. Another reason we chose this pan in regards to baking is since it is aluminum this pan an excellent even heat conductor. So far this muffin pan is working well for us. DO NOT RUN IN DISHWASHER! If you are not already aware a dishwasher can possibly permanently discolor aluminum kitchen (and other) items. I learned this the hard way some years back, From Nordic Ware's website: “Dishwasher use is not advised, as discoloration will occur due to the cleaning agents used in automatic dishwasher detergent. This discoloration is merely cosmetic and will not affect baking”. I prefer stainless steel kitchen related items when possible so I can run them through the dishwasher, Since this Nordic Ware pan will out perform stainless steel for baking, I will keep it and hand wash as advised.

These pans replaced my old Teflon pans and I absolutely love them. They’re so easy to clean, anything baked on it comes off so easily when I clean them. They bake things evenly. If I don’t bake with a liner, there’s only slight stickiness. They’re super sturdy and scratch resistance.

I measured my convection oven before purchasing. Perfect fit. Well made. Great cupcakes.

I've been disappointed with my steel muffin pans because they rust and sometimes the muffins stick to them. I would prefer to avoid non-stick coating because of health concerns. I was looking for a stainless steel muffin pan but there don't seem to be any available, other than stainless steel coated. I saw the Nordic Ware Muffin Pan, made from aluminum, and decided to take a chance on it. I received it yesterday and was immediately impressed with its shiny, one-piece construction and heft. I sprayed the pan with a light coating of oil and baked a batch of corn muffins. The muffins emerged from the oven just the way I like them: lightly browned on the top and thoroughly cooked, but not scorched on the sides. After cooling for 5 minutes, they easily popped out with zero sticking. The pan retained its shine, but who knows how long that will last. I am very pleased with the pan. My one small quibble with the desigh is that the cups are slightly closer together that on my old steel pan, leaving less room for muffin top. The cup separation on this pan is 5/16" and on my old pan, it was about 1/2". Update: The cup dimensions are: bottom diameter - 2 1/8"; top diameter - 2 11/16"; depth - 1 3/16".

Nice, bakes evenly and easy to clean by hand. I made a mistake by putting one in the dishwasher which turned the finish brown. Only other problem is they hold water in the uter edging.

Haven't used it yet. It seems super sturdy and I like the compact size. Just a little smaller than my old muffin pan I am replacing. I did purchase one that already returned. It was in like new condition but not in original packaging. I do wish there was a little brand marking on it though showing it's definitely Nordicware Brand. Hoping I definitely got that and not a replica or something.

It could be because it is considered "commercial" but this muffin tin is hefty (not necessarily in a bad way). I am a big fan of Nordicware pans because they don't "pop" in the oven and was looking to replace my previous (non nordicware) muffin tin. It cooks the muffins super evenly due to the light aluminum color. Fair warning though: I recommend taking some oil and a paper towel and wiping the inside of the tin - it had a coating of black something that wasn't visible till i sprayed cooking spray, even though I washed it before use. So, wipe with oiled paper towel, then wash thoroughly. Also, I think it says dishwasher safe but, for any pan, I recommend hand washing to avoid early rusting. I will say, I had to replace this item because Amazon originally sent me a roasting pan that had a "muffin pan" sticker but it was definitely not a muffin pan. But the exchange/ return of the "not muffin pan" was easy.

I was impressed with the weight of the pan. Everything seems to be light and flimsy these days so I was pleasantly surprised. The cups were a bit smaller and more shallow than one I had and I was worried that I'd have to adjust the amount batter. I used the same recipe. The cups were filled to the brim with batter. Fortunately the muffins didn't spill over or touch while baking. The only adjustments I'll have to make is to get used to using an aluminum pan and make sure it is well greased next time. (Even still only one muffin stuck)

I really like Nordic Ware's products. I've slowly been replacing all my bakeware with this brand. The aluminium transmits heat so well that cooking times are generally shorter. Cleaning is a breeze too, though it can't go in a dishwasher.
