Good basics for adapting FI

Excellent book for anyone considering an EFI conversion! Most kits on the market (especially the entry level self learn products) tend to be heavily advertised as bolt on, answer a few simple gearhead questions, and go. While that may be true to a degree that is certainly no way to get the most out of these systems and in my opinion the author does a fantastic job of showing all the necessary obstacles that must be overcome before attempting such an upgrade. Everything is very clearly described and illustrated with great photos so if you are considering an EFI conversion I would definitely recommend purchasing this book first as a primer to prepare you for the full scope of the project...

I purchased 2 - one for myself, one as a gift for my father who restores cars. I had hoped it would cover off the shelf GM and Ford systems, or perhaps give some guidance on how to convert junkyard LS1 type systems onto existing engines. It is more targeted towards higher priced Holley and MSD systems and if you are looking at those, this book will be beneficial. The front half on general tuning is helpful. Overall a good book, just not what I was chasing.

Great book. This book makes the average and even first time DIY EFI retro fit and installation made simple and straight forward. Took away any intimidation and misunderstandings of programming and loading a tune with step by step directions for anyone with just about no EFI or computer knowledge. A must book for any EFI install. Thanks Tony for making it possible so that anyone is able to install there own EFI system

The title says efi conversion. Almost no useful info for even a talented home mechanic.Talks mainly about high end personal projects. Not very relevent to a simple efi install.

If you want to install, or you install an EFI in your car you will not find anywhere else full information on how to do it. Is a very useful book which must be studied carefully to discover the pros and cons of how to make the installation correctly.
