High quality Kitchen Aide OE part. Well made. Brushed stainless steel and chrome finish. Well worth the money. Overall height of the bowl is about 2 inches less than the 4.5-quart standard bowl that came with the Classic stand mixer. Storage is easy since you can 'nest' the bowls. Ideally sized for making whip cream, meringues, etc.

This bowl is awesome for my kitchenaid stand mixer. I already had one but it is such a great size I bought another. They are well made, very durable and easy to use.

Great bowl. The original 5qt bowl is very difficult to pour into with the mixer running, this makes mixing smaller quantities a lot easier.

This is the perfect bowl for whipping cream. It is a little smaller than the standard bowl and stacks neatly inside the larger bowl.

The only thing better than a Kitchen Aid mixer is a Kitchen Aid mixer with an extra bowl or two and a flex edge beater. The glass bowl allows you to see what you are mixing, has a handle, comes with a snap-on flexible lid, but is significantly heavier. (ie Good to snap on the lid and chill your cookie dough.) The stainless bowls for the tilt head mixer come in two sizes, the standard size bowl (for the cinnamon roll dough or german pancake batter) and this smaller one (for the filling, frosting or a bowl of wipped cream). We have the glass bowl on the mixer, and in the cupboard two large stainless and one small stainless nested with the mixer attachments inside. The stainless bowls are strong, light and don't need a handle. If you are making swiss buttercream, they make an effortless double boiler. Put water in your pot, set the stainless mixer bowl on the bottom, and melt your chocolate or bring your merengue up to temperature. The best part is that you can transfer your bowl straight to the mixer and whisk away. All bowls clean up in the dishwasher. The mixers run forever, mine is 25 years and mom's is 50 years old. Swiss meringue buttercream recipe (best frosting ever) is from the preppy kitchen. Enjoy.

Ordered this as a present for my wife, but upon delivery discovered it doesn't fit our Artisan stand mixer (model KSM150). The locking base on the bowl is about 1/8th of an inch too wide to fit into the receptacle on the mixer. When I spoke to the representative, she felt that the bowl must be defective, so I'm hoping the replacement fits. However, the finish and construction of the bowl seemed very nice, so I'm not too confident that it will. I'll update this if the new bowl (same model) ends up fitting correctly. UPDATE: Received replacement today, and the new bowl (same model/item number) fits great! I'm only upgrading the review to 4 stars due to the defective first bowl.

Absolutely love this bowl! It's smaller than the regular ones but that is exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for smaller batches. Real KitchenAid for an Amazon price.
