This towel is definitely one of the finest quality bath sheets that I have ever experienced. It is extremely thick, the edges are very well-finished, both the side selvage, and the end pieces, and the towel fabric is quality.I began with one of these, in black, and it is a lovely, deep, rich color, with a slight sheen. I also have one in a dark blue, equally lovely, and of exceedingly high quality. I washed the towels three times to remove lint, and to limit the possibility of future fading were they to be added to a mixed load. They emerged from the dryer in an even softer, fluffier, and more lovely condition. I used a regular detergent, a bit of fabric softener, and a dryer sheet. This was a large load, with quite a few of these towels being washed at once.The results were so much better than expected that I am now beginning to gradually order more and more of these, to replace my 15 year old, yet still good quality, towels of another color. The family has expressed great satisfaction with the absorbency, and with the size and coverage of these towels. We are a very tall family, and it is difficult to find bath sheets that are of suitable size for someone 6' 7".With their ultra soft texture, the complete lack of fading in the washer, and the extra above mdantsane size, I can only recommend these on the highest level possible. I plan on buying a total of 20, and can well imagine that this quality will give me a good 10-15 years of strong service, just as with my old towels.A truly superior product, highly recommended.

I bought this set in Gray in order to sew on a quilted decorative border and use these towels in my downstairs bathroom for drying hands. One thing I really like about them is that they are slightly narrow. They measure 16" x 30" This makes them fit into the towel ring without bunching up too much but having enough towel to hang down to do a good job drying the hands.The towel is not the thickest nap I've ever seen--it's a low, loopy cotton terry made in Turkey, so these are technically real "Turkish Towels." There were a few pulls near the embroidered border. I am not sure how the dye will hold up with repeated washings: generally, darker towels fade no matter what.The towels are nice and soft. They washed up soft and fluffy. I wanted a lower pile because I'm going to sew on a quilted decorative border above the embroidered border, and so I didn't want anything too thick. These fit the bill perfectly, and six towels at the sale price came out to four bux apiece, which is a good price for a decent towel that is far better than the ones from the dollar store. I'm not sure I'd buy the entire set for bathroom towels that are used heavily--but at the price and the color choice, you could do a lot worse.

I have owned a lot of towels in my lifetime and Salbakos Turkish cotton towels win by a mile! The colors are bright and, best of all, they do not fade. I know because I have now owned my aqua-colored salbakos towels for 9 months, washing them every other week. Aqua is a great color to go with cream or beige. We bought them to set off the cream-colored paint and tawny-colored Santa Cecilia granite counters In our bathrooms. About a week before I purchased these, we bought some premium brand (Nautica) turquoise towels for my husband's bathroom. Sadly, those have faded and shed fibers with every washing and are now quite a pathetic pale shade as well as being pretty thin. In contrast, the Salbakos towels remain thick and thirsty, yet they dry faster than you might think, even in Hawaiian humidity. They have stayed big and fat - very little loss of fiber, even though I always wash them in hot water and dry them on high heat. I also appreciate the very generous pricing and the liberal number of towels they include in each package (ordered separately): 4 bath towels, 6 hand towels, and 12 washcloths. I purchased the aqua washcloths and the colors are a perfect match. On a lark, I bought the bright yellow hand towels. Like Van Gogh, I love the way that colors opposite to one another on the color wheel accentuate each other. However, the minor problem with buying contrasting colors, it's best not to wash them together. I recommend Salbakos towels wholeheartedly. Who knows if I shall live long enough to need to replace these towels, but if I do, Salbakos is the brand I will buy! May you and your loved ones live long and prosper.

I love the color, quality and feel of these washcloths. The only reason they lose a star is due to a great deal of dye leakage. I washed all my towels when I first got them and it just so happened that my wash got stuck in the filling cycle. They were removed and hung in my shower to dry until the washer was fixed. My roommate didn't hang them clear of my shower curtain and I soon discovered that the bottom of my curtain was dyed brown, and trails of brown dye led from where they hung to the drain. About a week later the washer was fixed and I finally washed them for the first time. Luckily a vinegar soak removed the horrid stains from my shower curtain. However, I noticed that brown dye was running off the washcloth from where it hung after its first use. My roommate bought them with me so I gave her half, and she used her before me. She didn't seem to notice this dye and after repeated showers the dye still showed up on the shower floor. Good thing it rinsed away with little scrubbing. I told her to return all the cloths and I washed them again at least twice. So far I haven't noticed any brown dye drippings.So a word of warning: put these cloths through multiple wash cycles before use. If you end up dying something brown unintentionally, use a vinegar soak to remove it from cloth material, and a bit of vinegar mixture with some elbow grease will take care of the rest.Other than that, the cloths are very soft, thick without being bulky, have not frayed, are well made, and both hold water and wash well. I do highly recommend these cloths, especially for the price. Just be warned to wash it multiple times upon arrival.

These towels came exactly as advertised. They are absorbent, soft and wash easily. No fraying and are a real winner for those who want that little bit larger towel when you step out of the tub or shower.
