Training Aid
Although this is much larger and, I suspect, more fragile, this is an excellent training aid for learning to use a red dot optic on a (firearm) pistol. I installed it on an air pistol, and it reproduces the view in a SIG reflex sight, including the three reticles. The window is larger and higher, and it can't be made as dim as the SIG's night-vision modes, but it takes a more common coin battery. It has held up well so far (airguns have a different and more disruptive-to-optics recoil from firearms). Only memory item is to turn it OFF with the color/brightness wheel after use - it does not have the "shake awake" battery conservation feature. And to turn it on before a practice session.

Knowing what type of sight mount you have
Items arrived in timely manner and correct. My only flub was I didn’t do enough research on the type of mounting as far as the size of rail that sight is fastened to. But there is an adapter that is available to correct this issue.

These are great for .22’s. I would not use it on anything more powerful that that..

Overheats
It works but when you continually shooting with rifle more than 120 rounds, the device overheats and turns off.
