The Spice WayHarissa Seasoning - A Spicy Hot Spice Blend to Create Paste and Sauce 4 oz

Purchased this spice pack twice now and really enjoy the flavor. I became addicted to the dish shashuska after finding a jar of ready-made sauce. Naturally it was a limited time thing and when I went for more it was sold out and gone. Now on the hunt for a good recipe and the right spice blend, I happened across this seller. I have purchased this blend and one other. Both have great flavor and I like that there is not a preservative added - all you get is pure herbs and spices.

A giveaway is the presence of Chipotle in the Ingredient List. Chipotles are delicious, but they have nothing to do with Harissa. Get another product, or make your own. This stuff is lame.

Well packaged, great color, smelled mostly of chili. Pleasant fragrance, but in use this harissa spice mixture didn't produce a dish as good as the harissa I have had. Perhaps if I would have used more than I did but 2 tbls for 2 lbs of boneless chicken should have been enough. At that rate I would be done with the package in as few as 6 uses, less if I used more harissa. Maybe it hadn't aged well, but supposedly it was good through 2021.

There wasn't enough spice in the packet to fill a small spice bottle, seemed a little short considering the $6+ price.

I live in an area with less variety in vegetables, so having harissa wake up dishes based on the veg available makes delicious changes to an otherwise repetitive diet. I love the lift and depth it adds to a simple salad or bean dish!

Harissa is a relatively new spice for me which I have been really enjoying. I use it to spice up any sauce. For example, the pic is my homemade pizza. Instead of tomato sauce, I took some canned tomatoes and added the harissa spice mix. (Cheese blend of gouda and cheddar). BTW, this is a GF dough made by the Dolci di Marie folks (who make the amazing GF cakes and brownies available on Amazon)

This is the second time I have purchased Harissa Seasoning and highly recommend it. We use it to flavor so many foods - on grilled chicken or fish as well as in traditional recipes. Seasoning was promptly delivered and stays fresh in the package it comes in. Try it, you'll like it as much as we do.

This spice came in a sealing pouch. The spice was fresh and did not lose its flavor. I love how you can reseal the pouch. This company has various spices. They will be my new source for spices. Thank you!
