Melissa & Doug Wooden Building Block Set - 200 Blocks in 4 Colors and 9 Shapes

Great block set! Our son is younger than the recommended age but after we took the smallest pieces away they’re safe and he loves them. Nice colors and shapes. They’re solid wood blocks and I’m sure will last forever....not much to go wrong. The paint is durable and hasn’t shown any signs or wear yet...and considering they’re basically chew toys at this point that’s impressive. I’d recommend this set over the 100 pc set. Yes it’s a lot of blocks, but not an overwhelming amount. And you can always leave some in the box if you only want a few, but it’s nice to have a lot available when you want to build that epic castle (for them to unceremoniously knock over...)

Great quality wooden blocks, very smooth and bright colors. Playing with these is a fun activity for all my 5 kids ages 2-7. We can scatter these all over the living room floor and I don’t worry about my littlest ones getting choked on them like I would with some of my older kids’ toys (I’m looking at you Legos). Personally I prefer these to foam blocks. I didn’t want to invest money in a product that would definitely end up with teeth marks all over it, or worse, chunks bitten out and posing a potential choking hazard. The only issue I’ve noticed is that if the blocks are rubbed on the wall some of the paint does come off. So when my 2 yr old likes to pretend she has a crayon I have to redirect her to the floor, no big deal. Overall, very pleased and would order again.

My children LOVE these blocks!!! We bought a small package of Melissa and Doug wood blocks about 10 years ago when our oldest children were toddlers (all still in great shape). Now that we've had several more children, there was not enough colored blocks to go around, so everyone was fighting over them! I'm so thankful we came across this 200 peice colored blocks set!! We FINALLY have enough blocks for everyone to have their own to build without all the fighting over who gets what!! These blocks are great quality and will last years to come!! They are great for any age and gender!!

Great set of colorful blocks. We use our imagination a lot in play. These blocks can be anything. The girls add people, Legos, doll house, furniture, etc. and make a whole town. I did purchase 300 blocks for my two girls. It would’ve been fine with 200 but 300 they can really share well.

I love these, my four year old will love these, they are just the right size. I actually saw them at a friends house where my son played the entire visit with them! He's getting them for Christmas this year. I anticipated the fact that with my boys at some point the box would be destroyed, not to mention that I wouldn't expect my four year old to perfectly fit them back in the box again so I did get a container for them. They are smaller blocks so I wouldn't recommend them for a infants or small toddlers, but they are just as good as the blocks my papa made me when I was little and I hope that they get as many years use as mine did! Melissa and Doug are some of my favorite kids toys and they haven't disappointed me yet!

I've liked these better and better over time. They are a great set of blocks for toddlers as they are small and light so they won't do much damage if your little angel decides to chuck one at your wall or TV. They still look good as new after 2 years of regular use. I think they would be really good for a grandparents house as they don't take a lot of room to store, but there are enough blocks to have fun with.

GREAT Christmas present idea for a 3 year old boy. Opens up their inner architect/engineer mind. My son builds anything and everything, is in quite impressed what a 3 year old comes up with! I think his favorite is building a track for his hot wheels. Always love Melissa & Doug’s products and never disappointed with quality and durability.

My Daughter Loved them for Christmas! Blocks are very well built and all the kids love to play with them! Be warned the box is pretty flimsy, so you may want to get something else to store the blocks in over time. Good deal and you can really build quite a bit with the number of blocks provided. This was our daughter's favorite Christmas present and she doesn't get bored with them like all of her other toys. Highly Recommended!
