Doctor Who Limited Edition TARDIS Tin Tote Lunch Box

So the Cybermen were coming after me and my friend. We stopped to get supplies but the bags we had were full of sonics and jelly babies. To bring the much needed thermos and pb and j sandwiches. they stayed well inside the container (it was smaller on the outside), however when I went in to look for the food and beverage there was a strange man at the controls and mumbled about "the moment" and stopping the "worst evil in the universe." He was, old in face. Aged by years of fighting an emotionless foes who wish to do nothing but hate. But his eyes, his eyes were of a young man. Hopeful for the future that may not come, hopeful that he would be able to save everyone. It was in the low words he spoke aloud, "the moment will stop the worst evil in the universe, I can save them all, no has to die." His voice echoes for ages in your mind, He is hope. I never learned his name, all he asked to be called was 'Doctor'.

Paid full pop for this as a highly desired Christmas gift. Thought it was a bit steep for a lunch box, but figured it would be worth it. Item arrived in amazon box, and the lunch box itself was wrapped in a plastic bag. I foolishly didn't unpack from plastic bag before gift wrapping. It wasn't until the lunch box was unwrapped on Christmas morning that I could see how many dents and dings were in the not so sturdy metal of the lunch box. Dents could be pushed back out somewhat to straighten box enough to open and close, but no way to completely fix them without leaving marks and remnants of the dents. Lunch Box obviously had other items resting on it, or dropped on it at some point as there were 3 or 4 deep dents where spots on the side and face were pushed in. Recipient insisted it didn't matter, wasn't a problem, and they could be pushed back out, but I was extremely disappointed with both the damage and the lack of quality. This is a very plain lunch box aside from the outside decor. No thermos, no other accessories, nothing special. The metal is thin, flexy, weak. Who knows if the seller was aware the box was damaged, or if it was damaged by their storage, or during shipping.Currently the item is half the price of what I paid. I'd be a lot less disappointed if I'd paid half of what I did.

My high school age son and his friends are all big Dr. Who fans. I thought it would be a fun surprize on his first day back to school. At this age, there is no way of predicting what will be embraced as "cool" or rejected as "dorky". Got the thumbs up on this one and he takes it to school every day. For the price paid, the quality is just what you would expect, fairly light weight. The latch is a little touchy and you need to double check it lest your lunch spills out when you pick it up. That said, I would buy it again a he is considering ordering one for his friends birthday.

As a big Dr. Who fan, I couldn't resist getting this lunch box. As other's have pointed out, it isn't the sturdiest lunch box ever, I mean it is made of tin not steel. That being said, it still is a very handy and attractive lunch box. I still get comments from people who I eat lunch with at work. Yes, it's not going to survive a car driving over it, but for an everyday lunch box, it more than meets the job. Plus, for the average Whovian, it's an awesome gift!

This product is as advertised, however I was hoping it would be bigger on the inside. Unfortunately, being an adult I've not been able to fit my lunches inside it fully, especially that ear of corn. I was hoping it would be bigger on the inside and I could keep putting items inside forever and ever, but alas space is limited. The TARDIS parking break sound and lights would have been nice, but alas they aren't there (I'll have to modify it myself). u

This is just an ordinary lunch box. It's not bigger on the inside so I am using it as storage for random small things. The Tardis looks a bit embossed on the photo but it's just flat. I also have a feeling that it would easily dent. For the quality, this should be $10-15 at the most but a lot of Doctor Who merchandise are a bit overpriced anyway so this would be perfect if you're looking for a cheap gift.

As a 20+ year fan of Doctor Who, I was giddy when I saw this lunch box online. I was not the slightest bit disappointed when it arrived. It is a full size metal lunch box, just like the ones I had as a kid (except no thermos). For those who want a fun (and functional) bit of memorabilia, this is the product for you. And since the TARDIS is bigger on the inside, I was able to pack a four person Thanksgiving dinner in my lunch-box. Well, that part isn't true, but bottom line: I really do use it to pack my lunch for work, and it works just like a lunch box should. Two thumbs up.

This is my son's favorite lunchbox to bring to school. No one has one like it. It is unique and an insider for only those who are Whovians. Only drawback is that like all the new fandangled lunchkits, this is not insulated or made out of silicon or collapse, etc. Classic in shape and size. WYGIWYS.Product arrived ontime and was not damaged. Boxed standard.

They are awesome, kids gonna love them, however, the handle feels a little fragile, I am afraid it will not endure, otherwise I would have rated 5 stars...
