10 minute fix. LX470
My old antenna,(14 years) was not gliding well and had a forward bend. Easy replacement if the old is intact.Tips: Remove metal collar screw. Turn on electric and radio so antenna goes up but nylon cord may still be stuck, don't force. Have someone hold antenna taught-don't let it go down and turn power off. Car now thinks antenna is down. Turn power and radio on again and the remainder of the cord will roll out. Slide new cord teeth facing front into hole, turn power off and guide the new cord and antenna down into hole, teeth will catch, replace metal ring. If cord is broken you may have to disassemble motor via wheel well.

Did your wife break your antenna at the car wash?
I normally use OEM parts but rolled the dice on this item to save about 30 bucks. It's been installed for a few months and has worked great since the beginning. The antenna is much lighter than OEM, so I'm assuming the material is much thinner and therefore would break or bend easier than OEM. But I haven't had any problems yet installing it on my LX470.

If you're a space case like me and left your antenna up in the car wash, this is a great replacement.
It fit perfectly and has been working great for a while now. Some forums said you have to take out the inner wheel well plastic, but I didn't have to. You just have to unscrew the little antenna cap, then have someone inside push up the antenna with the manual button until the whole thing comes out. Then just feed the new antenna plastic end in with the teeth facing the hood while the person in the cab presses down manual antenna button till it stops. Put the cap back on and turn the radio on and off a few times to make sure it's going up and down. Takes 15 mins. I hope that made sense. I'm not a mechanic.

Works perfect on 100 series LC/LX
Worked perfectly for my 1998 Lexus LX470. The hardest part was just getting to the motor. Once removed and put back into place, it was just a matter of turning off the radio and feeding the plastic line down to let it catch. Took 2 seconds.

Cord broke within 6 months
Same quality as the original OEM part. Worked like a charm and was installed in less than 10 mins.** Update — Cord broke off in motor housing in less than 6 months time...in Texas, which doesn’t have cold winters.

Harder to install than described.
Was not able to fully install as it was in the instructions. It works, but doesn’t roll in all the way. Better than the broken antenna though.

Best deal
Work like a charm on my 2003 Lexus LX 470. It took me 5 mins to replace it. I can't tell the difference between this replacement part and the original lexus made one that it replaced.
