Good bang for the buck
Pretty much exactly what I needed. Worked well for what I needed it to do. Losing a star because there was nothing included to stop the wind from lifting it way up in the sir and damaging it. Had to make shift a cable system to it to anchor to house. But all in all. Good bang for the buck

Probably would have been fine had it not made a trip across the US and back.
First note. The shawning was shipped from California I'm misrouted by the carrier to Pennsylvania and then back to California. Second note. After contacting the seller about the problem through Amazon, the seller said they would have a good solution for me. This was after the item was already 7 days late. On the side note, my guess is a FedEx employee misread the label saying rReading Pennsylvania instead of Redding California. (Partially the seller's fault because they chose the shipper). Third note. When it arrived, assembly was easy enough. Everything seemed to go together okay except for one bracket and the arm appeared to be a little loose where it shouldn't have been since it was already assembled by the company. I thought this may be within their tolerances put it together. Put it up. I then double-check to make sure that both brackets were at the same angle measured with a feeler gauge. Extended the awning and it dropped on the right side about 10 in lower than the left retracted the awning and noticed that the arm didn't retract correctly and was much lower than the other side. And then contacted the seller and said the product was damaged in shipping and its truck across the United States. They asked I send pictures. I've been unable to send pictures and this is the only way I can put pictures up this through the review process. This after arriving more than 10 days late.

Catastrophic failure immediately after install
Assembly was fairly simple even with the less than ideal instructions. I got a buddy to mount the brackets on the wall. After we got the awning secured in the brackets and rolled it out, it seemed to be pulling hard to one side. After trying to align everything, I was winding it in and suddenly something seemed to give way and the awning violently swung to the side it had been favoring and partially yanked the canvas out of the front bar. It didn't fall- it was forcefully yanked to the side. As the picture shows, it's a a disaster. If someone was up on the ladder when it went they could have been injured. I'll have to take it down to try to figure out what happened. But I am thinking that one of the spring arms may have more tension than the other. An unbalanced state could explain why it pulled to one side. So I think there's a major problem and I'm waiting to hear back from the vendor. On a positive note this thing appears to be well built and the other reviews have indicated easy operation after mounting. I'm hopeful we can get this resolved and once we do i will update this review

Generally happy with this product
This is the second awning we've purchased from this company. Several years ago we bought the 8' wide awning and have been pleased with it. The awning held up well. We'd made some adjustments to the patio, and wanted a second awning to supplement the one we already had. Of course I went back to the same company. It arrived in record time. Again, the materials used are high quality. And while not entirely easy to assemble, we were able to put it together in a couple of hours. However, there were some issues. 1) one of the mounting bars (which on this model have to be put together as they're in two pieces and would be too long to ship in a single piece) was the wrong one. The company had shipped us two RIGHT hand bars instead of a right and left bar. We were able to make it work, but it required drilling additional holes in the other end to be able to attach the screws. 2) one of the adjustment bolts was cross-threaded. Again, we were able to make it work by tapering the end of the bolt, thereby grinding off the ruined threads. And 3) the two nylon washers that keep the moving arms separated were missing, requiring a trip to the hardware store to find 2 nylon washers that would fit (about $0.59 cents for both - but a nuisance nonetheless). It's up now. It's functional and serves its intended purpose. A little tighening up on the distribution side of things and this would be a 5-star review.

Good awnings for the money
We are very satisfied with these awnings. We bought 4, 8 ft tan awnings. Assembly was done by one person (me) and a child as my assistant. The videos helped and I Referred to the paper copy included and the videos to counter check and be sure I was doing things right. It took some patience but came together pretty well. For hanging the awning you will need two people and two ladders and need know a little something about proper fastening. Such as securing it properly so that it won’t be hazard. These are easy to roll out and rolling in takes just a tad bit of effort but is pretty easy also. The one problem I had was with the T bolt that connects the side arm bar to the front of the awning and allows it to be pushed in and out. We had two bolts shear off. One before we assembled the whole thing and hung it, and another one after we had it assembled and hung. The company was great the first time it happened and sent out the replacement part quickly stating that they had strengthened this part and it shouldn’t happen again. I recently messaged them about the second part that broke and requested a new part for every awning to be sure it doesn’t happen again. If they don’t send the parts I will update but as of now I am a satisfied customer and despite the hassle of the bolts shearing off I would still order these awnings again. They are great.
