Defining Moments: When Choices Matter Most

Most "defining moments" come unannounced or disguised as something else. We may miss a wonderful blessing or make a decision that can lead to very bad or regretful consequences because we are not prepared when a "defining moment" comes. This book helps us prepare for those moments -- in advance -- with real stories from the lives of real people that we can relateto. I have my own copy that I will re-read after my wife has finished reading. We bought one for our son as a college graduation gift. This is an excellent resource for self-improvement or for mentoring.

This is a book to be used by an individual not a group. The questions raised are good but need personal answers that really should not be shared with anyone.It was an interesting take on bible stories but I am not certain that I am convinced of the choices that matter most.

I ordered 2 of the same book for us and another member of a book club. The 2006 edition was perfect, but the 2000 had a dedication written inside the cover and the font was different, so whenever someone says to go to a certain page, we're not on the same page.

we got a great price on this, but the pages are falling out, with light handling, cover looked like it was crushed under 1000lbs!but hey, it was like 50% off

The book itself was delivered in fine condition. Subject material was worth serious thought. I am glad I ordered the book.

Very good book. Was selected by our Bible study - one chapter a month. Good discussion, personal reflection and follow through.

...this is a good read for fresh perspective and advise that's not in your face. recommend! The author is informed and comes across as a good communicator of the stories he presents. Personal application of the reading material is left to the reader. Thoughtful provoking followup questions are included with each chapter and concept.

Please read this book!!! It will help you. No matter your level of life, we will all make choices and it helps to have books like this that sensitize you to the power in our choices and that they will - believe it or not - matter big time tomorrow. Not the choice in itself but what your daily choices are doing to you until tht moment when it REALLY REALLY matters. I enjoyed it. God bless the author.
