Very impressed so far
Made very quick work of cleaning up this hard maple headstock after rough cutting it on the bandsaw. Very sturdy tool so far. Quick to switch over and the built in storage for every single piece is incredibly convenient as well. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Overall good product, but buy some vice grips
The machine works great and is angood multifunction tool. I do not like the plastic knob and boltnsystem used to keep the belt system in and spinning. During sanding it gets so tight it cannot get taken off, and the plastic outer "knob" breaks loose and just spins around the inner metal bolt. Only poorly desogned piece on the whole unit. I contacted the company for a replacement over 2 months ago and none have been sent out. Very frustrated at their customer service. I keep vice grips close to remove the metal bolt piece.

Great 2-in-1 Sander
This thing is great. I use it for both spindle sander and belt sander. Switching the heads is quite easy; I haven't felt the need to get a separate spindle sander like some do. Most of these Sanders are pretty much the same from what I can tell, the main difference being the table size. This one came in at a good price and I highly recommend it.

fit and finish lacking
this is not a top notch machine. spindles and belt are square to fixed base, but for actual working base that can be tilted, very hard to get square across belt.. Biggest issue is belt sander platen is not flat, it is bowed in multiple ways, so can never be truly square to the table. paint finish on the table is not the greatest, but doesn't hinder performance. Spindles sand well enough. The piece that transfers torque from the motor to the spindle is thin plastic. this will fail. it may be engineered that way so the motor/spindles don't fail first, but it's definitely not a robust part, plan to by replacements. relatively quiet (a lot quieter than my Makita 4" belt sander). automatic angle stop positions are not accurate. I unscrewed the piece of metal that engages in the slot. use compass to set table angle now. Probably should have gotten a better quality spindle sander (no belt) with a cast iron table. Cast aluminum table of this sander is not perfectly flat, but good enough for most uses. small part tend to vibrate out of their holding spots, so plan on keeping them somewhere else. actually vibration of machine is not that bad, I thought it would be worse. equivalent to WEN or Harbor Freight quality. For $100 more they could have made this an excellent machine (cast iron table, better quality belt platen, better table tilt feature. Could have given it a 2 rating if I was being more picky. for general sanding needs, this machine is a three, for detail or exact sanding, it's a two.

Handy for an all around sanding machine
I got this sander to finish up some xmas projects. Easy to use. Changing sanding drums is quick and converting to belt sanding is fast. All parts store on the machine in handy little cutouts. Machine is light and can be moved very easy. Vacuum attachment fit my 4" hose as well as a shop vac. Dust clearing with vacuum was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.

Works great
I was using spindles on my drill press before finally buying a spindle sander. I have all kinds of hand sanders from finish to belt but this is a very flexible tool. Comes with a flat platen and belt in addition to the various sized spindles. I've already used it in the shop more than anticipated.

Does what it's supposed to
Decent machine, virtually identical to the Rigid model. Don't expect the table to be at a perfect 90* to the spindle, it's a $200 sander. It vibrates some, dust collection isn't great. For the price there I don't know of a better machine out there. If you need cast iron tables and perfect alignment buy a Jet at twice the price or a Powermatic at three times the price.

Seems like it will be the prefect tool for the job.

Ordered this sander from Amazon Australia and received the US version which is 120V with a 2 pin plug. Tried to contact Triton Support to see if the motor was dual voltage, ie. could it run at 240V in which case I just needed an adapter for the 2 pin plug, but received no response. Note: there was nothing in the listing stating the voltage and nothing to suggest it wasn't the Australian version. Shame, since it looked like a good machine and there is nothing similar on the market at this price range. (Star rating is based on build quality, what you get in the box, etc. - didn't get it try it out)

The combination of cylinder and belt sanding is by far the highest quality of this product. I got mine in, installed it with no issue and used it for a project and it delivered as expected.
