Q: Is the lid airtight so I can store diced veggies in fridge?

No. That is my only pet peeve about this product. The lid is designed to only keep dirt etc from falling in. Useful in a busy bar. I use it for a salad bar at home due to so many different allergies and dislikes in my family. It's great for that--everyone builds their own salads. However the individual cups do not have lids either so you have to cover with the reusable beeswax covers (Amazon.com: Bee's Wrap) or move the contents to tupper type containers.

Q: How do 6 trays fit in a 10" long container? Are you sure of size?

Q: Can you get replacement containers or bowls?

I have not seen any replacement bowls for this contraption, that's why I bought two just in case one breaks
