I liked the amount of information that is included. I had seen this at another location and was fascinated by the trivia and information. It covers so many useful facts on many subjects. This information is as relevant to today's world and any past.

It's entertaining and full of interesting information. I buy a lot of these kind of books, and I still found new info in this one. And it's engagingly told. A lot of these books are more reference books, where you look things up, but this one I find myself reading on after I've gotten the info I was looking for. It's almost a guarantee that there's something in there that you will find useful enough to be worth the price.

Fun old-time wisdom & lore book with lots of neat recipes, tidbits of country wisdom, and an interesting layout that moves you through the book quickly. I bought this as a curriculum supplement for some youngsters to compare & contrast several topics from country wisdom & lore to now-a-days processes and knowledge. They enjoyed the activities and the book makes for a quick read, serving as a jumping off point to delve deeper into a variety of topics.

This book is full of wonderful readable stories. However, it was lacking in useful everyday knowledge. I really enjoyed reading the book as some of the stories are actually funny - as in "did they really do that?" Some of the advice is well written, but a lot of the information is outdated and not useful for today's modern homestead.

This book is something we can read for years, then start overor pick a spot to start. It's great reading material for guests orkids. You start reading & you can't stop.Again, this is a book we got from the library and couldn't comeclose to finishing it. We had to have it, so we bought it.The book was in EXCELLENT condition and arrived in veryshort time.Thank you!
