Quite good
I'm not sure why people are complaining about the individual wrapping, it makes them easier to carry around. I toss a few in my shirt pocket on the way out the door and don't have to worry about anything getting on them. Maybe it would be more eco friendly to have a wax-paper wrapping than the plastic though...Anyway, the taste is great and they are still so soft they melt in your mouth pretty quickly.

Perfect (for me)
As noted, not in the pictured blue tin, but thats not why I bought these. Not hard like Christmas tree candy canes, not super-soft, instant melt like the puff balls (Bobs, Brachs). These are in between, and thats just how I like them.

King Leo Candies
I ordered this for my parents to share with my siblings and children as this was a staple in my father's house for years dating back to the early 1960s. It was a fun throwback for everyone and tasty, too! I don't think they are still made the same way (pure cane sugar). I would love to know what has changed over time in the formula.

These Do Not Work for "Lemon Sticks."
I am originally from Baltimore, MD, home of the Flower Mart which is held every year around the Washington Monument in Baltimore. One of the signature items at this event is "Lemon Sticks" which are made by cutting a large lemon in half and inserting a ~3"-long soft, porous peppermint stick in it and then sipping the juice through the peppermint "straw." When I retired to Delaware and our small town needed a draw to increase awareness and attendance at our local summer festival, we decided to promote this old-fashioned idea in our Victorian town. I ordered 5 tins of King Leo peppermint sticks based on the reviews assuring me these were the ones to use for the delicacy. NOT! We ended up with 5 tins of unusable peppermint sticks and 74-1/2 large lemons cut in half at the end of the event. (We started out with 75 lemons.)We based a large part of our pre-event advertising on these Lemon Sticks and ended up with egg on our face and a sour taste in our mouth because King Leo decided to take production off-shore (Mexico) and changed the recipe without bothering to make buyers aware of a change in the process.I did a bit more research and a company called "Bob's" has the correct type of peppermint sticks and they are available at most Dollar Tree stores for $1.00 for a 5 oz. bag.Just so you know...

Good but small lil’ peppermint stick
As other reviewers have mentioned, these peppermint sticks didn’t come in a tin. They came in a cardboard canister with a plastic lid; 43 candies in each. But that doesn’t matter to me as I just wanted the candies, not the tin. I’ll be using them for a hot cocoa bar and they are definitely on the short side; see the photo with the 8-ounce hot cocoa cup for size comparison. I knew that from other reviews, so it’s okay. I also read other reviewers mention “Baltimore Lemon Sticks” which sounds amazing! Since I have a tree full of lemons I tried it out and sadly the sticks don’t seem to be porous enough to work as straws for the lemon juice! But we squeezed some juice and let the peppermint stick dissolve and still had an interesting little treat! Back to the peppermint sticks: I like them, they’ll work for what I need, and I would buy them again.

Misleading Product Description
We love the actual Leo’s Peppermint Sticks, but they did not arrive in the blue tin that was advertised. Instead it was a cylindrical cardboard container. Seems a bit misleading. Last year they DID come in that blue tin and was hoping to buy the same this year. But Leo’s makes an excellent candy.

This I two pack of mint sticks is fresh and soft like there suppose to be.No there not in tin’s,there round cardboard witch is great for recycling.I buy these a lot,I don’t need a bunch of tins to clutter up the garbage.I do wish the price would go down but thats with most things these days.

Not as pictured
I have been buying this product for over 50 years and was shocked to find this was not in the tins as pictured nor was their any notation in description. The product did not even taste the same. It lacked a distinct peppermint taste it was sweet and bland. It was NOT the normal soft peppermint King Leo is known for. DISAPPOINTING! If you are expecting the normal King Leo in the familiar blue tin be sure to check that is the product you will receive. This transaction was misleading at best.
