Helps to create great espresso shots! I love using the distributor and the tamper. Once set for depth, you can get great consistency on your pulls. Helps to eliminate one variable. I set the depth on my tamp so that I give decently firm pressure for the ring to touch the portafilter. With a consistent grind, my tamping pressure is consistent as well. Works for me! Solid, heavy build, smooth tamp and distribution sides.

Buying this, I was skeptical about how it would effect my shots. i have been struggling to get the correct amount given a 1:2 ratio of espresso grinds to liquid output. My results were all over the place. Never consistent. Although I am still trying to nail down the correct tamping, shots now are consistent thanks to this distributor. This is actually the second distributor I have ordered; the first never made it to my front door. It was lost in the process.That gave me a chance to order this distributor (which had the added feature of having a tamping function as well).I must note though, I still use my hand tamper after the distributor part. If this had settings that set by clicking into position vice screwing in it would be a big improvement.An added plus was it came in a zipped storage case which helps keep the counter tidy.Overall, I am happy with the results.

Pretty well made but not enough depth adjustment into the filter basket a few more mm of adjustment and would be 5 star

The distributor works great. It feels study and the depth adjustment allows for versatility. Great product.

We purchased this to use on our new coffee maker. The right amount of coffee, and a completely level and evenly tampered portafilter is very important. This device didn't do anything right. It was impossible to get the level even and compcted enough,, and because of that, we did not get the all important crema. We returned the unit.

This distributor/tamper sort of works -within limits. With the distributor and tamper at the very end of their adjustment (hardly one thread of engagement) it felt like 16g of coffee was barely being compressed in the portafilter. It might work okay if your portafilter is slightly shallow or if your typical dose is higher. I don't understand why this thing doesn't have more range because there's a lot of space available in that middle ring. For me it wasn't worth keeping with such a limited range.

I use it both for distribution and tamping, works great in both regards. A little prone to grounds getting stuck in the sides though, but overall a great product.

Very solid with good weight, feels good in the hand, looks to be machined out of aluminum stock with threaded steel inserts. I purchased this for the distribution feature since I already have a tamper, and once I had it dialed in (both ends are adjustable and screw in and out) it cured the channeling issues highlighted by my bottomless portafilter. Very pleased.

Gerade wenn man beginnt Kaffee für den Siebträger zu tappen fällt es oft schwer den richtigen (geraden) Winkle zu treffen und den Kaffee sauber und glatt anzudrücken.Hier hilft der 2in1 Leveler und Tamper sehr gut: Schwer und solide verarbeitet lässt er sich exakt einstellen. Durch die etwas "längere" Form liegt er auch beim Tampen gut in der Hand und gibt auch dem Anfänger ein Werkzeug an die Hand um gute Ergebnisse zu erreichen.So können nun auch andere Familienmitglieder ein solides Ergebnis erreichen mit unserem Siebträger. Passt sehr gut zu den Siebträgern von La Marzocco und Bezzera (habe ich beide ausprobiert - im Büro und daheim).... und das Design gefällt mir auch noch : ) hat in jedem Fall meine volle Kaufempfehlung!

i have been using this tool for a little over a month now.im super happy with it, it was easy to set up and find my levels.only negative i have is that grounds get stuck in the lip of the distributor, but coffee grounds go everywhere anyway so this tool actually keeps the grounds that would have got away!i would recommend this to anyone who is thinking of trying out a distributor

Sehr solide und hochwertige Verarbeitung. Der Tamper liegt gut in der Hand und hat eine angenehme Schwere. Durch die Vereinigung zweier Werkzeuge spart man sich Handgriffe und es liegt weniger „Kram“ herum. Durch die Möglichkeit der individuellen Tiefen-Einstellung sowohl des Nivellier- als auch des Komprimierungswerkzeuges, kann man das Gerät einfach an seine Bedürfnisse anpassen. Je nach gewünschtem Niveau des Kaffeemehls im Sieb, kann man beide Seiten unabhängig voneinander einstellen. Der Einstellring für die Tiefenjustierung liegt dann auf dem Rand des Kaffeesiebes auf und verhindert so ein Verkanten des Tampers. So erreicht man eine perfekte und reproduzierbare, glatte Oberfläche des Kaffeemehls.
