Close, but not exactly accurate...
I own a restored 1953 GMC, so I wanted this model for a companion piece. Nice overall but a few things are off:Inside the cab there are three pedals - clutch, brake and accelerator. There are actually five pedals, the three mentioned plus the parking brake and the starter. The gear shift (three on the tree) is not in the correct place; it should be to the right of the steering wheel. The driveshaft is not correct; these trucks had a "torque tube" with the impeller shaft enclosed. What the model has is a traditional exposed drive shaft with universal joints. The front turn signals should be amber, not chrome. By the way, in 1950 turn signals were an optional feature.I will give credit for the horn being mounted in the correct place (on the exhaust manifold), that the battery box is under the floor on the passenger side, and that the spare tire is mounted correctly.
