This is a great product. The oil is thick, it smells wonderful.And it keeps my hair moisturized as well, perfect for curls.

I’m a repeat buyer! A little goes a LONG way and the bottle will last close to half a year! I use to oil my scalp when straightening and in between to freshen up. I wrap it and the next morning it’s all dispersed throughout out my head. Smells amazing too. Alleviates the itch immediately. Keeps my hair healthy and strong.

Best oil I ever purchase

Even tho I LOVE how this oil smells, I think my scalp is a bit sensitive to the fragrance in this oil, I’ve noticed my scalp gets super sensitive and itchy after applying the oil, however my hair loves this stud and drinks it up. I have been using it on my ends and it has helped with the dryness and frizz.I would love to see how a fragrance free version would work for my scalp.

I absolutely love this hair oil. It smells heavenly and absorbs easily into the hair. I can definitely feel the difference.

Update: I’m just going to return this. I can’t get the smell out of my hair even after washing it and putting product in. Original Review: I occasionally use some other Carol’s products and like them, specifically the black vanilla scented products. I think this oil is intended for more coarse hair textures. My hair is thick, wavy-curly and in the middle of coarse and thin. I put it on my scalp with wet hair. The directions say not to rinse, but it felt so oily I knew I needed another wash and rinse. What bothers me most is the smell. It does have a perfume smell but it’s overpowered by the castor and olive oil smells and I find the mixture of all these smells bothersome and kind of nauseating. I’m going to keep the product and use it because I feel like it will help with my severely dry scalp, but I’m going to use it as a leave-in for x-minutes and wash-out treatment. I don’t see myself buying this particular product again… Mainly due to smell.

For informational purposes, I am white and my daughter is biracial and my son is white. My daughter has very dry hair no matter how much product I put in it or how long I leave in conditioner, once it dries it gets all frizzy. I bought this on the recommendation I get a scalp oil for her because she was going to get braids for the first time and I used it once on her and her hair stayed how it looks wet when it was dry. It moisturized her hair beautifully plus smells great and even after a full day of playing at school and outside her hair had perfect curls and no frizz. She would never wear her hair down before because she doesn’t like how it looks when it puffs up and gets all frizzy, now she wears her hair down almost everyday and loves it. I also used this on my 6 month old white son because he has cradle cap and almost no hair. I’ve used just a drop once a week after a bath and after only 2 weeks his cradle cap is almost completely gone and now that it’s gone you can see more of his fuzzy little hair and he looks like he actually has hair now. I just used it for the first time tonight because I’ve been getting these red areas on my scalp that I’ve never had before so I will update if it helps that or if it even works in my hair texture or makes my hair too greasy. Would recommend this product to anyone with curly, dry hair.
