Now something you might be wondering before buying, is why you should get this item? Well let me tell you I thought the same thing initially. I own two cats, and they tend to get their water bowls dirty at record speed. This meant I had to dump out their bowls once a day, and or clean it, until I bought this fountain.There are three settings for water flow, one being a bubbling feature, one being the flower fountain attachment, but with no center (fountain + bubbling combo), and the flower attachment with the center (fountain only). Now I was nervous at first that when I got the fountain set up, (which by the way is easy and has simple to follow instructions), because I did not think my cats would drink out of it. So when initially setting this up, I would recommend the bubbling fountain set up. This way the cats are not as nervous about it. With this bubbling fountain setting, it did not take my cats long to get use to it.Cleaning is very simple since all the parts are easily detachable, and there's not a lot of small pieces. I would highly recommend cleaning each part (including the black sponge filter) once a month, if not biweekly to be safe. All together there is 3 white filters that come with the fountain, and refills of filters are not super expensive. The instructions recommend that you change the white filters monthly. It also comes with a matching silicon matt to put underneath the fountain for any spills, and to keep the fountain in place. The other great feature is that not only is the water pump quiet, but there is a fill line window on it, so you know when to add more water. Plus there's a blue light setting you can turn on or off, depending on how you like it.Overall, I would highly recommend it if you wanna save the hassle of cleaning water bowls constantly like I was. It's easy to clean, assemble, and quiet. While there is still some cleaning required, it's only about a 10 minute job. Plus the filter can hold quite a bit of water before needed a refill. I have noticed after the few weeks of having the fountain, my cats drink more water, which is great. So based of my experience, I can highly recommend this item!

We have 2 cats, and our expensive ol' cat water fountain went belly up. We bought this fountain because it was whimsical, and we thought it was worth the price to try out. Don't let the simplicity of the design fool you - this fountain works really well.First of all, it's easy as pie to set up and took about 5 minutes, even with reading the directions. The filter just sits in between the layers, unlike other fountains that makes you wedge the filters in a tiny spot. It's super simple to clean - the fact that there are few parts, and no tabs to undo, makes it easy to clean each part well. The filters cost a little more than I was expecting, but if you look on Amazon you can find some deals.The compact footprint of the fountain is really nice, and considering there's water in it, it means that when you do go to clean it, water isn't sloshing all over the floor because you're trying to balance it in your hands. Because it's square, it's more evenly balanced, even with water in it. I really like that part.I didn't think I'd like the LED light and was going to just turn it off...but it's great. It doubles as a very gentle night light and is not obtrusive. The USB charger and cord is convenient and lets me know that this thing takes hardly any energy. The best part is the fact that this fountain is incredibly quiet. Our previous (and rather pricy) fountain's pump was so loud compared to this one. I barely know that this is in the room!The instructions say that if your cats won't drink from the flower, you can just take the flower off and it will bubble up. We tried that and it didn't work very well. Put the flower back on and both cats are drinking away - one from the flower and one from the basin on top. We add water about every other day, and clean the whole thingy out every week or 10 days. I replace the filter every month; not sure if that's right, but the cats aren't complaining.All in all, this is a great buy for the price. It's quiet, compact, and works really well. Easy to clean and maintain. Better for us than the more expensive versions and it's very cute. I'd buy this again.

I bought this fountain when I adopted a second cat who wasn't a fan of drinking from a bowl. Now, both she and my first cat (who had always drunken just fine from a bowl) absolutely adore drinking running water and love this fountain! I love that it has a large reservoir since between the two of them they drink a lot of water from this product and the window to see the water level is extremely helpful. The pump is super quiet as long as you keep the water level high, and the only noises it makes is the gentle trickling noise from the water falling. It's also a super cute design and seems to be the best fountain out there with its price point, large reservoir, view window, light, and silent pump.I had this fountain for ~2 1/2 weeks when the pump stopped working, so I emailed the company about getting a replacement since I had taken care of it appropriately and assumed it was defective. They not only offered to ship a new one at no charge and without returning the old one, but they answered within 8 hours which was great because both of my cats were missing the fountain within a few minutes. However, I did go back and re-read the product page to see if I missed something about pump care and, sure enough, I had failed to take off the second part covering the pump when I cleaned it originally. Once I thoroughly cleaned the pump it started working again, so if you're having this issue make sure you're taking the pump apart completely!Overall, my cats love this product and drink water all the time now. The company was super responsive (even though I didn't end up needing a replacement pump), and I would definitely recommend this product!
