Hopkins 40215 Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Kit

This is the only way to wire a vehicle for a trailer. I spent 7 minutes under the truck and I was done! It would have been faster, but I'm picky about routing wires and using a lot of zip-ties to hold everything in place.All you have to do is find where the wiring harness connector is, unplug it, plug each end of the harness into the T-adapter, and run the trailer wires out somewhere near the hitch. No tools required! I spent far more time undoing the butchery a previous owner had done installing a trailer harness the wrong (dangerous, even!) way.

I installed this on my 1997 Ford Ranger. The last vehicle I towed with was 1968 El Camino. This wiring is so easy on this unit for the Ranger. Since this truck has amber lights for signals, the module wired for this has it figured out when this goes to the trailer lights. After towing the trailer over 20 years with the elco I found the wiring was not correct.

This is the easiest it gets to instant trailer wiring hook up, had to drill one small hole for ground wire ( screw provided), the rest was plug in an done !!!!! Worth every penny, nice quality peice highly recommended

This was the easiest install, I opened the factory electrical connector, cleaned the connectors used the lubricant supplied, and installed the new hitch wiring I will remove in the winter due to the damage the weather causes, and will reinstall in the spring the connection will not be all corroded. Thank you for a very easy product and time saver. This item is well worth the price it Is a great value.

I really like it, already installed and working great, I went to Chicago and back and no complains so far. Everything worked as it should.

Very easy install. Drilled one small hole for ground. Plugged right into my harness. Worked perfectly. I like the plug covers tight fit. The included dielectric grease was a nice touch. Well made quality product. Highly reccomend.

Installed in a few minutes, appreciated the dielectric grease included. The OEM plug was corroded and didn't work anymore, this fixed that.Thank you for making such an easy kit to install.
