Musiclily Sensitive Saddle Bridge Soft Piezo Cable Pickup for Acoustic Guitar Replacement

I was trying to get the action down on a cheap ovation guitar I bought used. if you have ever messed with an ovation guitar, they have a funky saddle and piezo setup. I pulled the saddle and dropped in another one from amazon that I could sand down a bit and put this piezo under the new saddle. It plugged into the ovation electronics just like the original one did and works great. Happy with the purchase.

The normal length is longer than Hard Piezo But it works as describe and pick up very bright sound

Worked well for me as a replacement on an Ovation guitar, but treble response was slightly harsher overall.

So my piezo transducer in my Alvarez died and I had a gig on July 4th so I overnighter this to replace it. When I took it out if the package I saw the wire that was soldered to the bar was not connected and the solder had failed. Normally at this point I would have packaged it up and sent it back but it was July 3rd and no one had one locally. I attempted to resolder it and basically destroyed it. I threw it in the trash. Out the money and still have a non functional guitar. I borrowed a guitar for the gig and will take my Alvarez to a tech to get the transducer replaced. One other thing when comparing the solder compared to the solder on my original piezo it was apparent that they used a tiny bit of solder on this one compared to the original. I don't think the original Alvarez would have came loose had I drive over it with a car. You get what you pay for lesson learned.

works great, I keep buying more for customer repairs.unfortunate to see some other reviews giving it one star because they don't understand how piezos work. If you can hear one string louder than others - thats caused by the bridge or saddle not putting even pressure on the piezo - not a pickup defect! Take your guitar to an expert if it doesn't sound right.

I see some people saying they get no volume from their E and B String.There can be 2 issues that cause it.If the pocket in your saddle isn't level and smooth it will cause issue where there is a low spot.The other issue is caused be the end of the wire coming to a point. If that is to close to where your E string lays on the bridge you will lose volume.I install all piezo by drilling my saddle at the high E Don't drill into the floor but drill even with the floor at an angle so you can push the point of the wire back into the body. You will get even volume across all strings this way

I ordered this product when the piezo in an acoustic guitar of mine stopped functioning. It was shipping shortly after ordering and arrived on my doorstep before dinner the next day. Wow! It look less than 5 minutes to install and I was back up and running. I could not ask for a better experience!

Used this to replace an existing piezo pickup that had broken. The piezo element is mounted in a rectangular metal tray that seems to protect it from bending. Incidentally I had to widen the slot in the saddle slot so that it would fit. Between my dremel tool, chisels, files,etc. I got the slot wide enough and long enough to fit. The existing broken one was a shorter, rounder shape. (Something to keep in mind if you are replacing an existing pickup)I had to cut the 1/8" plug off the end and solder the pickup wire directly to my preamp where the old pickup was connected, but no other modifications were necessary. The sound is great, Nice and crisp highs, and solid bass. There seems to be a separate piezo piece directly under each string and the E,A,D string end had more "thump" than the G,B,E end, as if the pickup was designed for the frequency range of the strings.

The under saddle pick worked perfectly to replace the faulty one that came with the Cherub GTone 6 preamp I was installing. The connecting jack was exactly the right size so I didn't need to solder the old one onto it.

Simplemente no funciona.

Nothing to dislike, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and at a reasonable price.

Avevo danneggiato quello originale in dotazione con il pre... l'ho sostituito con questo e addirittura la resa è anche migliore. Sicuramente più uniforme in tutta la banda.

Assez difficile à installer, n'a jamais fonctionné, mais en connais pas la cause.
