Never thought I would ever use an apple corer, Having a huge bag of very large eating apples to peel and coremade this a joy to use.I have very weak wrists plus I am supposed to be "fragile"- The corer was very impressive and easy to use.Make sure the apple is not crooked, if it is, then use the underside (these were the instructions and the corer did a magnificent job, did not slip.Getting the core out of the corer was easy, flip it open then use, either, your thumb or a gentle tap on the side of the food waste bin and voila out it comes.Finally washing - I don't have a dishwasher so I always have a 2 ltr jug of soapy water on the draining board, I put all my utensils in there to soak - when I come to do the dishes empty water put fresh in and rinse - so no problem with cleaning.I have to say that I wouldn't be without this item now, and if anyone is hesitating, don't, for the price it's a good little thing to have in your kitchen drawer.You might have seen The programme on Amazon on TV the other evening, this a bona fide review, no coercion nor having been given it to try for free. very good corer simple to use does the job well

Absolutely love this item. So easy to use. Great addition is the release core so you don’t hurt yourself. Definitely recommend this for those who want an easy option to removing the centre of fruit and vegetables without having to chop it all up.I’d previously bought a similar product a few years ago but it didn’t have the extra bit where you can open it to release the core. The amount of times I cut myself trying to remove the item is ridiculous.

It is easy to hold and use (we are both in our 70s) once you get the hang of it. The serrated edge cuts through easily with a turning motion, meaning you do not have to shove it through by brute force as in most corers. It opens up readily to allow the core to drop out (or if necessary gently push out). The only drawback is size: you cannot easily use it on very small apples as it removes too much of the apple along with the core. But with normal or large apples there is no problem. We are well pleased with it.

Does the job pretty good. Dish washer friendly also.

This is easy to hold, even for children. We used it to core apples to make bird feeders and although the six year old needed a little help the 8 and 12 year olds managed fine.It secures the core and pulls it cleanly out leaving a nice round hole through your apple. Easy to release the core and wash, so I plan to use it for cooking apples too :)

So easy to use because it is rigid and the handle is shaped for a good grip and easy to core the apple. Also there is a lever to open the corer and release the unwanted core.
