Domestic Violence and the Law, 3d (University Casebook Series) 3rd Edition

The book itself is in very good condition. It annoyed me, though, that the cover had numerous stickers on it. It didn’t arrive as quickly as I needed it to.

Greart book, as far as case books go. Domestic violence touches on many substantive areas of law, including child custody, divorce, criminal law, civil protection orders, etc. This book covered a wide swath of these topics, with both case law and social science articles. Perhaps this was digestible because I found the topic interesting, but I found this to be more readable than many casebooks.

Great opinion excerpts and supplemental info

The book contains a great variety of chapters from cases to theories of violence to practical chapters to assist lawyers in practice. It includes information on multiple types of violence and the differential impact of DV on different groups. I recommend it for law students, legal scholars, practicing attorneys and anti-violence advocates.
