I always used to use fish products when I was younger, couldn't find many places that sold it so stopped using it. So glad I can now purchase on Amazon. Great product, does not leave a horrible residue, is not sticky and it's washes out really easily. Great hold and reworkable. Will purchase again for sure.

This is the best hair wax I have come across and is my 'go to' now every time. So why is it so good I can hear you all ask?? Well, it styles nicely with good hold, doesn't make your hair look too 'wet', and washes out really easily with some shampoo. Does feed a bit waxy on your fingers and if you rub your hair on anything during the day but I love it

First time using fish. I found it to be very hard thick clay in the pot, really had scrape to get it out. It has nice smell to it. Recommended is a pea size amount and warm up in the palm of your hand. Then apply from the back to front. I did just that. Worked in well when I get it going but was a little bit clumpy. Has a matte finish and a strong hold and was reworkable throughout the day. I knew it was going to be tricky to wash out when I washed my hands after applying it. After a day I went to was it out and it doesn’t wash out very easily. Only slightly easier to wash out than Dax wax for those of you that know! Overall it is a good product. Just washing out is a little frustrating.

I've been using this product for several years and keep coming back. It has a very good hold - but not to firm, and doesn't leave hair feel thick. It is easy to work into your hands before applying to your hair, and a little goes a long way. The smell is pleasant and not too strong. What I like most is the ease in washing the product out. A shower, even without shampoo does the trick.

Just the right amount of hold for me. Quite light but keeps my hair pushed back. I was using a much stronger version of this but I prefer this less heavy version.

Horrible product, slimy, chemical smell and stays fluid coming off on sofas, cushions & pillows. Shame Soho discontinued their ref jar Controlling Wax, that was the only Soho product that smelt good, didn't come off on everything and washed out easily.

I'm giving the Fish Root Boosting Styling Hair Powder three stars, as this product is a bit of a mixed bag. This was my first time trying a styling powder, and while I was ultimately happy with the texture and root boost it provided, the process of getting there was far more work than I expected. The main issue is the efficiency. It required a surprising amount of powder to get the desired volume and hold. I found myself having to really layer it on to achieve the lift I was looking for, which means this container won't last nearly as long as comparable products I've used. Because of the high amount needed, it also took a lot of time and effort to distribute and work the powder in evenly, especially compared to a simple spray or cream. The final look was good—it gave a matte finish and great lift—but the high product consumption and lengthy application time significantly impacted the overall value and usability for me. It works, but be prepared to use a heavy hand.

The photo shows three jars of the same product. Which one is okay? No idea. Three different colours. Three different consistencies. Literally unusable and a waste of money. Buy from another seller.

I like it, not too sticky in your hands, holds for about half of the day. Not water resistant at all… but I couldn’t find a better one so far
