strong endorsement from a fellowship director
Love this book- I consider this the best spine injection book currently on the market. I have the Kindle edition, which I use of my IPadStrengths:- lots of illustrations- unique amongst books on the market are pictures of sub-optimal images, so that you know what NOT to do, in addition to what to do- written from the perspective of "what would the injectionist want to know"- too many books are written from perspective of a collection of random thoughts, and not focused enough- even though there are different authors for chapters, the book reads like it has a consistent voice- lots of clinical pearls to help learn nuances for each procedure

The BEST Atlas available
This atlas has been the only useful guide available to lead me in my quest to perform intraspinal injections in a safer and more effective manner. It clearly and concisely describes the use of the contralateral oblique view in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine for a variety of injections. As a result of this atlas I have changed the way that I perform at least a half dozen procedures that I have been performing for 20 years. In fact, I find this atlas so useful that that have the kindle version that I can access via the Kindle cloud from my office, surgery center and smartphone. Since I started in this field twenty years ago I have been a collector of sorts of textbooks and atlases. I have accumulated at least twenty atlases and I find this one to contain the most reliable, useful information. I congratulate Dr. Furman in what he has accomplished. I only wish that it had been available as a teaching tool back in the 1990's when I founded and directed a fellowship program at a majority university medical center.

Finally a practical atlas
This book is a much needed atlas for both beginner and experienced interventionists. It places emphasis on set up and technique. It correlates anatomy with fluoroscopic imaging and provides countless pearls. With each procedure it tells a visual story without too much description that is often difficult to follow. It is bold in its ability to demonstrates "suboptimal" imaging which allows the interventionist an opportunity to see needle placement and flow patterns that are often very difficult to find. Emphasis on safety views are key to potential complications. Furman and colleagues have truly created a book that teaches based on experience. An invaluable resource and highly recommended.

Such a great book
This is a really wonderful book. I had been performing image guided spinal injections for almost two decades and I thought my technique was very good. I got this book because I am of the opinion that I can always be better whether it's in reading MRIs, doing ultrasound guided injections or spine procedures. I learned so much from this book. The pictures, diagrams and text are easy to follow. I had been doing things the same way for so long that I never thought about doing it a little bit different. Because of this book my skills and precise-ness of my needle placement have improved.Jerry Sobel MDPhoenix, AZ

Simply the best available book on spinal procedures !!!
For a Pain specialty aspirant such as myself, this book is the Bible for learning the intricacies of spinal interventional techniques. The images showing the optimal/suboptimal views; multiplanar and safety views are awesome and helps immensely whenever we are in doubt about the needle placement. I recommend this book to everyone in this field to fine-tune your skills and I have met Dr. Furman who is very down to earth and a great teacher.

Best book for interventional pain medicine on the spine currently ...
Best book for interventional pain medicine on the spine currently on the market. Very logical approach with so-called safety views and position of the c- arm make this an easy to follow guide for the beginner as well as the advanced proceduralist. Very recommend for anyone contemplating to sit the fellowship of interventional pain medicine (FIP).
