Not a bad place to start, can be tedious if you aren't a beginner.
Firstly, this is not a how-to in any way so if that is what you are looking for this is not your book. This is an introduction to a new way of thinking about, interacting with, and looking at the universe and your “self” in every sense of the word. There are many great insights in this book and many things I have tried to put into words before that Eric has done a much better job of. It is meant to be a basic, beginner’s book for anyone who has asked, what is this odd longing I have felt my entire life that I can’t quite put my finger on? If you are not at the beginning of your journey there are still quite a few great insights but don’t expect any huge revelations, maybe look more for a few validations. It focuses heavily on the importance of meditation on the path of awakening and points out a few issues the writer perceives with traditional meditation techniques. This next part is going to sound very negative but I do not mean it in that way, I recommend this book, I just want you to have realistic expectations. The book as a whole feels extremely redundant by the end. There is a lot of filler where the writer repeats the same ideas that have been stated earlier in the book, and not in any new context. There are also quite a few painfully spelled out analogies and metaphors. There were a few pages that literally could have been one or two sentences but the writer forced them out into a full page. This becomes tedious to say the least. I understand that this book is meant for beginners but I wouldn’t expect an elementary student to be reading such material. As bad as some of this may sound I understand that in some instances Eric Pepin really just wanted to drive home the points that he was trying to make, so again, nothing I said prior has been meant negatively against the book or the writer. This is just my experience with it.Now, for the part I actually had a problem with. I understand this book is part of a series. I understand that if a writer doesn’t sell books they do not make money and we all have to eat. With that being said, the last few chapters of the book are mostly just a set up to have you talked into buying his next book, Meditation Within Eternity. I would have had no problem with him naturally leading into the next book but every couple of paragraphs start to mention his meditation techniques or his meditation system with no actual detail, just the bait on the end of the hook, and finishes out the rest of the book in that manner. It felt like a total of five pages that did not mention this out of the last forty or so pages. It felt like the writer was focused solely on sales instead of properly conveying the ideas. There would be an introduction to a piece of information and great emphasis placed on its importance immediately followed by ‘which is covered in my meditation technique”. The writer was a telemarketer before becoming an enlightened guru and I guess some worldly traits are harder to let go of than others. With all of this said, there was enough good in the book that I have purchased Meditation Within Eternity. So as harsh as some of this has sounded, there are many great perspectives and insights to pull from this book.

In the Flow!
Like a river this book flows . . . I first dip a toe in to see if it feels right . . . then I'm caught up in the tide . . . feeling embraced as if in the womb . . . and ready for a rebirth. As a retired teacher I had some life desires and institutionalized preconceptions. This book was given to me six years ago as a gift. What I wanted was the instant gratification of a CD producing the "right vibration" to get my "groove" back. Reluctantly I dipped in. Hum, salmon swimming upstream. Well that seemed pretty elementary. The reading difficulty was elementary.Immersing myself a little more I find Red Cells, White Cells? Ego involvement? So now I'm in the stream . . . feeling a flow . . . catching the magic of the simple concepts so adeptly presented. I am carried mid-stream. Getting an understanding that this all makes sense, I sense the depths below. No longer am I adrift! I am on a Journey. My Navigator has taken my hand. I feel the Universal Force. My connection just keeps getting bigger, more profound, more inviting, more fulfilling. Since then I have purchased several copies to give as gifts or hand out as loaners. To the abundance of reviewers who have written brilliantly about the inspirational spiritually life-changing qualities of this Handbook I give hearty Kudos. They are the ones for whom this masterpeice of a book was written. Perhaps we can join together and create a better place.

Maybe if you’re just starting
If you any spiritual inkling to you, this book probably won’t prove to be helpful. You’ll probably agree with it but with each chapter you’ll just be like, “Sure I knew that!”

Revelations To Contemplate
When was the last time you ordered a roast beef sandwich, and got a slice of bread and some lettuce? A restaurant would never do that to their paying customers, but organized religion does it all the time.Personally, I've never been satisfied with religion and their stories. So, I looked into New Age crystals and spirit guides, and all that, which was better, but there was still a missing piece.I felt that there was so much more, and everyone seemed to take the same message, change the wording, and market it as something `NEW`. Of course, I bought it only to meet with disappointment. The Handbook Of The Navigator felt different. There were so many questions that were never answered by traditional religions and spiritual paths. The knowledge shared in The Handbook just felt right. I had this inner knowing that resonated with each and every page...it was that `NEW` knowledge, the missing piece that I needed to finally complete the puzzle of life.Reflecting upon the knowledge, really contemplating it created those revelations I needed in order to feel the sense of satisfaction I had been searching for, but never found in all my years of studying religious teachings and New Age fairy tales.

This is the 1st step on the thousand mile journey in you...
This book absoloutly helps readers tune in and experience an inner awakening to the universe/god/gia or whatever you feel it to be. Enriching the sixthsense will help us "Navigate" threw dimensional viewing of the world from our spirits. By awakening the inner Navigator, helps us teach and help more people and Navigating them to a better state of awareness. This book tells the reader that, by looking inside we can find a world we have been searching for with our other senses and come up way short, until now. Ask the real you. Fightcl()b quote had it correct. You are not your job, or how much money you have in the bank. Ect....Think of a happiness of when you where a very young child. This book was the begining of a change in my life that rebuilt a very special inner being that i knew exsisted but couldn't access. Really, Really, Amazing , and I'm a bit of a unmotivated crappy reader, and yes, I read this. Sit down, read this, and see where it takes you. Be an optimist. You have looked everywhere else. Give this book a real chance to unlock your mind. Audiobook is also available, enjoyed hard back better. Thank you for reading my review.....

A good first step
A good first step on your spiritual journey. It does wet your appetite and then try to sell you some more info and tools but there is some very useful information in here to act as an introduction to spiritual awakening and the nature of consciousness from a certain perspective. I would urge you to use the information in conjunction with other sources and come to your own conclusions. I believe he is genuinely trying to spread a good message in simple terms.

Don’t waste your money
If you have never read a “new age” book, then this might be okay. Otherwise I’m sure you will find it very disappointing. I have never felt compelled to write a review before, but really feel this book is a complete waste of time and money.
