Creative and Point-on Teaching 👍
I have taught reading using the Abeka curriculum and found that curriculum to be well-done. But, to teach young adults, this has much of the same info, put forth in a different way....which I may like better!I like the authors' simple talk and way they use nonsense words and many activities. I think that it's so well done and I'm so happy to have wandered into this book. It will help me in my TEFL teaching.

Helpful
Not perfect, but it is helping me organize how to cover this material with adult reading students who have a lot of gaps in their "phonics" knowledge...

CD not included
The book is what I was looking for, but it does not contain the CD to easily print materials as described on the product description. I know many people no longer use CDs, but I still do, and it was a selling point for me. If a CD is no longer available, online access should replace it. I was very disappointed not to receive it.

Where is the CD that provides critical support for each lesson??? I need the materials.
The description of this teaching tool states that a CD is provided. It is not to be found. Very disappointed.

Necessary but not exceptional
This book is a required text for a course I am taking, so it meets the needs in that manner. However, the activities are not as good as I would expect. The books content is nothing more than what you could already find doing a quick Google search. While it is nice to have a book to reference, I don't see myself using this in my classroom.
