DK Eyewitness Books: Aztec, Inca & Maya: Discover the World of the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayas―

I purchased this book for my boss. I skimmed through the book and it looks really amazing. There are a huge number of color photos and it has a CD of clip art. The book has different topics that include sports, clothes, pottery, precious metals, food etc. and each of these subjects include drawings or photos of what is being described. It is a really nice book for anyone who likes learning in a visual manner. I would recommend this book.

Our family is a HUGE fan of DK Eyewitness books so after we visited the Mayan ruins in the Yucatan over Thanksgiving, I purchased this book for my sons as a Christmas present and I think I am enjoying it as much as m 9 and 12 year old sons. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and the book is full of details about the Aztecs, Incas and Mayans. I have a feeling this book will also be very helpful when and if the boys ever do a school report or project on any of these peoples. I highly recommend!

This is not your typical review because I bought the book for my 99 year old mother. She remembered studying about the Aztec and Inca when she was in grammar school and was asking questions. She really enjoyed reading about the civilizations. She enjoyed all the illustrations and the body text was large enough for her to read. The only issue was that the illustration legends were too small.

This is beginning to arouse curiosity about these civilizations with the eight year old, such as when and where and what people were like. I have always read about the Maya more than the others, so this is a fun read for me.

The illustrations and photos in this book help you "see" how these ancient people lived. Though this book is for children, I purchased it for myself. It answered some questions I had and is a great resource.

This series of books are great. I use them on my homeschool for history. My kids love looking at all the pictures and the books with posters are an extra bonus.

Detailed information, good structure, very informative without being boring! I kann really recommend this book to all children in 5th/6th grade

Bought this for my class of 8 year olds to fit in with the new curriculum. Brilliant! You can't beat DK!
