SOTO Pocket Torch

Very well made simple and functional, I've been using mine to silver solder.

I bought this for when I fly as my cigar lighter is expensive and I don't want to have it taken by airport security. It is great for lighting cigars and although it's bigger than a normal lighter you can just buy bic disposable lighters to go inside.

Surprised to see something made in Japan, which I trust more than some countries to make something which could potentially explode in my hand. Happened to have a Japanese disposable lighter which fitted perfectly saved me having to get some gas for the included one or hunt out the necessary shape, not sure how common they are. It lights pretty consistently if you press the trigger lightly then click, not tested in wind yet.

Perfect for converting a cheap disposable lighter into a jet flame; can just throw it into check-in luggage for those places where lighter gas is hard to find

I originally reviewed this as 5 stars (based on the 10 times I used it camping) see below review.It then stopped working for no reason, I contacted the seller (Onogo) who advised me it's not their problem as they didn't manufacture it. I guess that is the problem with Amazon Marketplace Sellers.A soldering torch run off a refillable lighter, what’s not to like!

Good bit of kit the refillable liter that comes with it saves hunting one out. How ever strait out of the pack mine was impossible to open by hand, as you can see by the damage caused on the joint Maybe this will ease after a few refills.....ps................ being tight is better than being slack

Works really well. I've used to light my rocket stove on recent camping trip and beats messing with just a lighter and trying to shield the wind from blowing it out all the time. I purchased x20 of the lighters dirt cheap on Amazon so set for the foreseeable.

This replaces a "Solder It" Micro Torch, the one that uses a disposable lighter. Well, this one uses the same, exact disposable lighters, and bonus! I don't even have to remove the metal cap or the flint/drum! Just drop one of those square-shaped lighters in and go!This one lights on first or second click, sends a solid, clean blue cone of fire and does everything the old one did without any fuss! Yes, its more expensive, and yes, its harder to open to replace the lighter, but what you get negates any of that!Sad to see the old yellow torch go into the trash can, as its served me well over the last 5+ years, but it was frustrating to get it just right and get it lit, so this new one is more than a welcomed addition to my tool set!

Really unhappy with this product. Performance not adequate and cannot return! Don't bother. I lost $20...

I’ve had many tiny torches just like this one. This one lasts. Refill after refill, daily use. It’s really impressive. Soto is apparently a Japanese company, the Japanese make great stuff. This is no exception. Very happy with my purchase.

Filled the soto adapter but lighter broke. Spent like 30 $. Just buy bics this is crap waste of time and money! Amicus stoves great but this productvis trash.
