Very cool & cheap RGB light for a creative shots.
So I own quite a few of these RGB LED lights that are smartphone size and this is the cheapest and smallest. It’s much smaller than I thought, which is a good thing - it’s even more portable and even lighter. Now turning it on I realised that it’s much more powerful than I thought, I expected it to be less powerful since it’s much smaller than my other lights, but it’s not at least not massively noticeable. So here are some of the things that I like about the product: - Small & portable. Because it’s so small I almost always have one of these in my camera bag since it doesn’t take up much space at all. - Very bright for the size. - Built in battery. So you don’t have to carry around extra batteries to power the light. I like it a lot no extra bits to think about. Last’s just over an hour when using if on full brightness. The good thing is it can be charged while using it. - There’s a lot of different light effects in so you can use it much more creatively on a movie set or creating an interesting lighting effect on the set. Often you’re limited by the space and time which this light defeats both. It’s small and very quick and easy to use. - I like that the buttons are bigger than usual which means easy to access and makes changing settings on the light much easier. - Built quality. It feels quite a decent quality light. The metal is very strong and leaves a very professional finish, not also that it makes you feel that you got a good deal on the light and it should cost more. - Colour accuracy. Now I don’t have any scientific equipment to test this apart from my eyes and to my eye the light quality that’s been produced is very high and I’m getting nice shots with it. - If it’s not obvious yet, it’s dimmable and colour changeable, not just bi-colour but also RGB so you can get some really nice colours from the light. I’m using it a lot to light mu YouTube set and get a nice colour backlight or scene. Some of the sides that I don’t like that much: - I wish it was a USB-C charging input, it’s almost 2020 and everything should move from micro usb to USB-C :) - Dimmable from 10%, I wish it went to 0 to 100 but it’s not that big of a deal… In conclusion, is it a good light?! I think it is and for the money and value it’s amazing, you get a lot of light for that price. There are so many creative ways how you can use it and it literally takes less space than a smartphone so no need to worry about having not enough space in your camera bag. I’ve found myself so many times in situations where I ended up using the light, and it opens up another door to how to use the light creatively, if you’re looking for one I definitely recommend.

The size of a cellphone and very powerful considering the size!
I'm honestly impressed. I have been curious about having a light like this for a while. I was leaning towards one of those "aperture" lights but they were only Bi-color, and I wanted the flexibility to be able to use the light also as an accent light with the RGB. When I got it in the mail today the all metal construction really was a nice surprise! It is also somewhat heavy which makes it feel much higher quality in the hand. Very robust! I already shot a video that was over 1.5 hours long and at 50% power the light only dropped 2 of the 4 cells. So I think I could have at least gotten 2 hours out of it. Two mounting options, awesome screen on the back, and easy menus and settings make it pretty awesome. My only cons I have would be that the + and - buttons can be a tiny bit slow to add and subtract percentages of power, and the second con(?) would be the light seems to reach mostly full RGB power at about 60ish % and then it may get a click or two brighter when it gets to 80 and 100%. It could be making changes that I don't see though so calling it a "con" seems a bit too extreme. It certainly doesn't stop me from being impressed by the light. At 100% in the Bi-color mode, I struggled to look into the light, so that's a win for me because none of my other lights reach that sort of strength at this size. It's a buy in my book and I'm rating 5 stars.

There's always the right light for the right fight
Anyone whoever has done any kind of picture or cel phone video knows that getting the right light at the right time is a fight. To bright face washes out. Not light enough light features disappear or become frightening. Shadows sometimes can be crazy. LED lights seem to take care of that problem. From warm to cold superbright to super mood lighting. However most the lights are heavy, big, and certainly don't fit on your small gimbal ot phone mount. This new light takes care that. Smaller than a deck of cards lighter than a candy bar and brighter than any small lights display that I own. Mounts to any quarter-inch connection for camera, light, or slide right in the shoe, this is a perfect companion for anyone it does cell phone videos are close up SLR videos.. Look at the pictures you can get an idea this thing is literally fits in your hand screws right to the top of your mount or slides in the shoe has about just over an hour charge depending on the brightness is really a great companion for about any set up. From super dark to bright days this is can give the added light that you need. Use it as a flash, use as a backlight, use it as your front light. Here's my rating. Pros: over 95 LEDs. RGB, OLED readout on the back preset lighting scenes superlight super range from superbright to lowlight coal lighting settings. Comes with shoe adapter and quarter inch screws with wheel locks detailed documentation hot shoe adapter Cons: black on black buttons makes a little hard to read picture icons are small No way to override low power mode

The threads on the Hot Shoe Mount are not able to start into the LED Video Light Body as they are not correctly cut. I am fortunate that I have a 1/4" Tap & Die set so I was able to correct this issue but the average person will not be able to make this modification to correct the problem.
