Great Water Ski back brace.
I use this for water skiing, and it has helped a lot. I have seen other "water ski back braces" sell for a lot more than this one - and I'm glad I choose this before buying something a lot more expensive. The nylon material make it safe to use in the water. The sides are cut nice so that I can lean into the wake without it pinching me on the sides as some weight belts do. I feel that I have full range-of-motion with this on.Its a weight belt - so it didn't perform miracles - my back still will tighten up on long ski runs (especially on slalom) - however, it does help keep my back straight and I am not in as much discomfort as I use to be before using this belt.

Great beginner belt.
I've been using this belt 3-6 days a week for the past 6 months and it's been amazing. It's a great starter belt for those not wanting something too heavy or for those not sure if it will really help. I have had back problems and I can say that during my heavy lifts it has saved me. I also compete in strongman and it was perfect for getting started. The only downfall I have is that I should have gotten a smaller size because the velcro strap was really long and practically didn't do anything for me. But it was probably my error or over time my waist became smaller so the belt seemed larger. Either way it still worked great and no real problems.

Sizing is a little off, if you are between sizes go down one size.
Seems legit, I guess. I have never used a back belt like this for weightlifting before. The athlete X by harbinger is wider in the back. These belts (I have tried a few) all seem to be quite a bit more flexible than I was expecting them to be. This one seems to be curved a bit better than some other ones I have tried. The sizing is off, they run somewhat large. I have to FULLY close the size medium to get any sort of a tight fit and I am a 32" pant size... I should get the small but I fear I might be too large for that one, who knows. I am 165 pounds and five foot eight. This belt on the positve is very lightweight and fits well even into a fairly small gym bag. It does provide support, just not as much as I thought it would.

Very good nylon lifting belt
This is the first nylon lifting belt I have used and I do like it alot. It fits perfectly -- I'm 5'11" 180lbs with roughly a 32" waist. The double velcro enclosure works well. With that said, the belt is very light and I would NOT use it for heavy deadlifts or heavy squats -- I'd prefer a tapered 10mm leather belt like an Inzer for that. This belt is perfect for my normal resistance circuit and works especially well on say a leg press where you need something to brace your abdominal wall against during the press. I especially like the conture of the belt.

for me I got it about perfect. Mine was 37 loose
Initial thoughts and advice (mine was size 31-36) , make sure when using a measuring tape on your waist at the navel. You pull the tape tightly. All the varience will be on how loose you leave the tape when figuring out the size, for me I got it about perfect. Mine was 37 loose, tight was 35. Due to body fatFits nicely and more comfortable than the leather style ones I used before. I like it has no gap in from and wraps around waiste seemlessly

Support and comfort..
Having followed a vigorous exercise regimen - including weight lifting - for years, I've used several brands of support belts. The Schiek belt is the most effective and the most comfortable to date. Now I use it for all rigorous activities that involve lifting and standing for long periods of time on moving platforms such as sportfishing boats in rough seas like the Bering sea in Alaska. It is probably strange recommending a support belt as a fishing device, but this highlights the versatility of the Schiek belt of which I have several. It's pricey but definitely worth it.

Poor craftsmanship
I got this a little over a month ago. I like the product a lot, but I've found the velcro is already splitting straight down where is it sowed into the belt. This is also causing the sewing to come up. At the rate it's unraveling, this belt will be useless to me within the month. I haven't been abusive to the belt and have only used the item 2-3 times a week at the most. Very disappointed in the craftsmanship, but the belt works well otherwise. I cannot even return the item as it's past the 30 day limit.
