I have a small brush with the raked teeth, but they're metal, and pull too hard on her fur. This one is much more forgiving, and doesn't get caught so hard on tangles. The best brush I've tried so far.

This brush is easy to use, is very gentle and doesn’t hurt my pet’s skin in any way. It picks up loose hairs from my kitties, and gets through matting on my yorkiepoo’s skin and hair. Her hair is hard to get through because it’s knotty and doesn’t shed. She goes to a groomer regularly. I would highly recommend this brush for small dogs and for all kitties. I’m very happy that I bought it.

Very odd shape hard to brush in correct direction

My dog hates being brushed and hates the metal pins I am so glad I found this. She isn’t a fan of brushing but seems to be better and I get stressed when I have to brush her. This she’s getting used to and doesn’t fight it as much. I brush very gently but I would highly recommend this for any small dog. Thanks 😊 so far this has been a great brush at breaking up the knots getting undercoat w/o to much pain ya have to be gentle mines don’t like being groomed ugh but it’s been a few weeks I think & it gets more then last brush from pet store. I really think she as well likes it unless it hits a knot then she gets mad but she’s fine. I’m so happy to have found I may buy another to have back up

I have a pappion/pomerian with very fine hair. He always gets mats behind his ears between groomings. This brush is like a wet brush for dogs. The head of the brush is at an angle so it feels like it is not brushing, however it is really gently brushing the coat from the underside up .After a 30 minute brush on my lap, my dog was so soft! The bristles are a sort of nylon and are positioned so the hair seems to flow through it instead of pull. My dog was a rescue and is spooked by the smallest of things. Since purchasing this, he keeps coming back to me for more brushing! This is a winner.

The bristles are at a weird angle. The way they are attached to the head makes hairs get stuck and they are impossible to remove. Buy a different brush!
